Simulating spinal border cells and cerebellar granule cells under locomotion--a case study of spinocerebellar information processing. [PDF]
The spinocerebellar systems are essential for the brain in the performance of coordinated movements, but our knowledge about the spinocerebellar interactions is very limited.

Amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) microparticles with long‐term and thermal stability are prepared with or without collagen using a scalable one‐pot spray‐drying process. Under simulated physiological conditions, they crystallize into biomimetic bone mineral and, when combined with collagen, form extrudable, fibrillar bone‐like 3D constructs.

The Marr and Albus Theories of the Cerebellum: Two Eary Models of Associative Memory [PDF]
The Marr and Albus theories of the cerebellum are compared and contrasted. They are shown to be similar in their analysis of the function of the mossy fibers, granule cells, Golgi cells, and Purkinje cells.

Exploring Soft Information Granules
Abstract The advent of big data characterized by 4V’s (i.e., volume, velocity, variety and veracity) imposes huge challenges to IT researchers and practitioners. In this paper, we review the basic concept of information granule (as studied in the field of granular computing), and discuss how this concept can be generalized to deal with new challenges

Amyloidogenic Peptide Fragments Designed From Bacterial Collagen‐like Proteins Form Hydrogel
This study identified amyloidogenic sequence motifs in bacterial collagen‐like proteins and exploited these to design peptides that self‐assemble into β‐sheet fibers and form hydrogels. One hydrogel supported healthy fibroblast growth, showing promise for biocompatible materials. Our work demonstrates that bacterial sequences can be harnessed to create

Attribute Reduction and Information Granularity [PDF]
In the view of granularity, this paper analyzes the influence of three attribute reducts on an information system, finding that the possible reduct and m - decision reduct will make the granule view coarser, while discernible reduct will not change the ...
