An Adaptive Inhibitory WSe2 Transistor for Retinomorphic In‐Sensor Image Processing
Conventional retinomorphic devices typically require deliberate gate‐bias tuning for each illumination condition. In this paper, we demonstrate an adaptive inhibitory WSe2 transistor that uses photo‐induced regime shift between the subthreshold and accumulation modes to achieve decision‐free, intensity‐adaptive image processing within a single pixel ...

Shaping inhibition: activity dependent structural plasticity of GABAergic synapses
Inhibitory transmission through the neurotransmitter Ɣ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) shapes network activity in the mammalian cerebral cortex by filtering synaptic incoming information and dictating the activity of principal cells.

Eu‐doped {ZnCdO/ZnO} structures grown on Si are developed, showcasing dual‐functionality controlled by europium doping. While high europium concentration transforms the device into an ultrafast, self‐powered photodetector, low‐doped structures can be used as an optoelectronic synapse.

An organic neuromorphic architecture for the classification of human motor behavior is presented and validated. It performs somatic integration by linearly combining the activity from three muscles. An investigation of synaptic weights is presented and discussed in relationship with the classification performance.

A toolbox for ablating excitatory and inhibitory synapses
Abstract Recombinant optogenetic and chemogenetic proteins are potent tools for manipulating neuronal activity and controlling neural circuit function. However, there are few analogous tools for manipulating the structure of neural circuits.

Magneto‐Ionic Devices With Polymer‐Based Electrolytes
Polymer electrolytes are introduced for magneto‐ionic devices based on hydroxide and hydrogen ions. The magneto‐ionic effect results in a pronounced voltage‐controlled variation of coercivity in both devices. The switching speed is in the range of 100 ms.

SummaryPerturbations of cell surface synapse-organizing proteins, particularly α-neurexins, contribute to neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders. From an unbiased screen, we identify calsyntenin-3 (alcadein-β) as a synapse-organizing protein unique

Neuromorphic plasticity in OECTs is governed by the post‐stimulus evolution of coupled ionic and electronic states. Semiconductor chemistry and morphology, electrolyte composition and interfaces, and device architecture regulate ion injection, transport, confinement, and release, shifting responses from rapidly relaxing STP to metastable memory and ...

Regulation of dendritic spine morphogenesis and synapse formation by copines [PDF]
Primary rat hippocampal culture is a well established system to study molecular mechanisms occurring during synapse formation and maturation. By closer analysis of the temporal appearance of presynaptic Bassoon and the postsynaptic proteins SynGAP, PSD ...
