A novel guidance law with input saturation

2016 IEEE 55th Conference on Decision and Control (CDC), 2016
This paper presents a novel path following algorithm for unmanned aerial vehicles in the presence of external wind disturbances. The issue of input saturation due to turn radius constraints is addressed using the theory of nested saturation which is important for real-world systems.

Predictive Controllers for Input Saturated Industrial Plants

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1998
Abstract The paper addresses the problem of stabilizing linear plants subjert to input saturation. A new Model Predictive Control (MPC) scheme is presented and contrasted with other known MPC schemes. It is shown that the new scheme ensures global exponential stability for plants with all their eigenvalues on the closed unit disk and, as a further ...

Intelligent anti‐windup for systems with input magnitude saturation

International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, 1998
The paper addresses the global asymptotic stabilization of linear continuous-time systems with saturating actuators, subject to constant disturbances. It is proved that this task can be solved by means of either simple error integrators or a so called ``intelligent integrator'', which is a linear system with a particular saturating control law.

Linear quadratic control with input saturation

2007
This paper studies a new approach to linear quadratic control for linear systems with input saturation. Our work presents an optimal sector bound to model the mismatch between the unsaturated controller and saturated one and an optimised control design associated with this sector bound.

Consensus for constrained multi‐agent systems with input saturation

International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, 2015
SummaryThe consensus problem for multi‐agent systems with input saturation is addressed in this paper. For agents with double‐integrator dynamics, we first propose two consensus algorithms, respectively, for the cases with and without velocity measurements.

Event‐triggered Control of Linear Systems with Saturated Inputs

Asian Journal of Control, 2014
AbstractThis paper investigates the event‐triggered control of linear systems with saturated state feedback and saturated observer‐based feedback, respectively. The problem of simultaneously deriving stabilizing event‐triggered controllers and tackling saturation nonlinearity is cast into a standard linear matrix inequalities problem.

Adaptive Control with Input Saturation Constraints

2001
All real dynamical systems are subject to hard limits on input, state and output variables. And most common hard limit constraints are on amplitude and changing rate of the system input. Recently, stability of dynamical systems with hard limit constraints attracted much attention from researchers.

Dual input systems with a saturation constraint

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1963
Summary This paper extends the theory of dual-input systems to the problem of limiting the activity of an intermediate variable in the system in order to avoid saturation or excessive power consumption. The derivation of the general dual-input Wiener filter which includes the constraint is first outlined and discussed and then three degenerate cases ...

Adaptive control of plants with input saturation

2017
In this work, a new method for adaptive control of plants with input saturation is presented. The new anti-windup scheme can be shown to result in bounded closed-loop states under certain conditions on the plant and the initial closed-loop states.
