Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Finite-Time Backstepping Control for Quadrotors With Disturbances and Input Constraints

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
This paper proposes a novel finite-time backstepping framework combined with an auxiliary input-saturation compensator and applies it to tackle the trajectory tracking problem of quadrotors with disturbances and input constraints. Finite-time convergence

Electronic system for high power load control [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
Parallel current paths are divided into two groups, with control devices in the current paths of one group each having a current limiting resistor, and the control devices in the other group each having no limiting resistor, so that when the control ...

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

Discrete–Time Sliding Mode Control of Linear Systems with Input Saturation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, 2020
The paper proposes a discrete-time sliding mode controller for single input linear dynamical systems, under requirements of the fast response without overshoot and strong robustness to matched disturbances.

A Robust Constrained Reference Governor Approach using Linear Matrix Inequalities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The purpose of this paper is to examine and provide a solution to the output reference tracking problem for uncertain systems subject to input saturation.

Cellular excitability and the regulation of functional neuronal identity: from gene expression to neuromodulation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The intrinsic properties of a neuron determine the translation of synaptic input to axonal output. It is this input– output relationship that is the heart of all nervous system activity.

Design and Input Allocation for Robots with Saturated Inputs via Genetic Algorithms

open access: yesIFAC-PapersOnLine, 2018
In this paper we consider fully-actuated and redundantly-actuated robots, whose saturated inputs can have high bandwidth or can be slowly varying (with dynamics). The slowly varying inputs can be considered as configurations for the system. The proposed strategy allows to find the optimal actuators' configuration to optimize a cost function as the ...

Remote Monitoring in Myasthenia Gravis: Exploring Symptom Variability

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a rare, autoimmune disorder characterized by fluctuating muscle weakness and potential life‐threatening crises. While continuous specialized care is essential, access barriers often delay timely interventions. To address this, we developed MyaLink, a telemedical platform for MG patients.
