Optimizing Shifted Stabilizers With Asymmetric Input Saturation

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Automatic Control
A stabilizing controller design for linear systems subject to asymmetric actuator saturation is proposed. Stabilization is achieved by focusing on shifted equilibria selected via the solution of an optimization problem ensuring convergence to the origin of the shifted equilibrium.

STABILIZATION OF NEUTRAL SYSTEMS WITH SATURATING INPUTS [PDF]

open access: yesIFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2005
Abstract This paper focuses on the stabilization problem of neutral systems in the presence of control saturation. Based on a descriptor approach and the use of a modified sector condition, global and local stabilization conditions are derived using Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals.

Determining Parental Factors for Clinical Trial Attrition in Pediatric Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Despite high enrollment rates on Children's Oncology Group (COG) protocols, attrition after initial consent is challenging, introducing bias and prolonging trial completion. While adult oncology literature has identified predictors of withdrawal, little is known about caregiver decision‐making for child participation in ...

Anti-windup approach for impulsive control system with input saturation

open access: yesAutomatika
An anti-windup approach is developed for impulsive control systems constrained by input saturation in this investigation. By utilizing free matrices, the matrix inequality conditions ensuring exponential stability are transformed into linear matrix ...

Adaptive Sliding Mode Guidance Law with Prescribed Performance and Terminal Angle Constraint [PDF]

open access: yesHangkong bingqi
To address the interception of maneuvering targets in three-dimensional space with terminal impact angle constraints and the issue of initial control input saturation, this paper proposes a prescribed performance-based adaptive sliding mode guidance law ...

Tracking control via sliding mode for heavy-haul trains with input saturation

open access: yesMeasurement + Control, 2020
To address the tracking control problem of heavy-haul trains (HHTs) with input saturation during operation, an anti-saturation sliding mode (SMES) control method based on dynamic auxiliary compensator (DAC) is presented.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Design of State-Feedback Controllers for Linear Parameter Varying Systems Subject to Time-Varying Input Saturation

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
All real-world systems are affected by the saturation phenomenon due to inherent physical limitations of actuators. These limitations should be taken into account in the controller’s design to prevent a possibly severe deterioration of the system ...

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Predefined-Time Prescribed-Performance Control of Vehicular Platoons with Input Saturation

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Vehicular platoons under realistic scenarios are prone to actuator saturation, model uncertainties, and external disturbances, which degrade transient tracking and spacing stability.
