Insulin-Like Growth Factor-Binding Protein [PDF]

open access: yesDefinitions, 1989
NEW MATERIAL: An insulin-like growth factor-binding protein comprising an amino acid sequence at least 85% homologous to the amino acid sequence beginning with position 1 and ending at position 289 represented by the formula or to any fragment thereof ...

In silico interaction of insulin-like growth factor binding protein 3 with insulin-like growth factor 1

open access: yesResearch in Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2018
Insulin-like growth factor binding protein-3 (IGFBP-3) is a vital protein exist in circulation which interacts with high affinity to insulin-like growth factor (IGFs) altering their activities.

Correlation of Insulin Like Growth Factor-1 and Insulin-Like Growth Factor Binding Protein with LH, FSH and Testosterone in Iraqi Children with Growth Hormone Deficiency

open access: yesIraqi Journal of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, 2023
Insulin like growth factor-1 has metabolic and growth-related roles all over the body and is strongly associated and regulated by growth hormone. It is produced by almost any type of tissue, especially the liver.

Transferrin binds insulin‐like growth factors and affects binding properties of insulin‐like growth factor binding protein‐3 [PDF]

open access: yesFEBS Letters, 2001
In the circulation, most of the insulin‐like growth factors (IGFs) are bound to a ternary 150 kDa complex with IGF‐binding protein (IGFBP)‐3 and the acid labile subunit. In the current study, we identify transferrin (Tf) by mass spectrometry, and immunoprecipitation as a component of a major IGF‐binding fraction separated from human plasma.

The Aberrant Expression of MicroRNA-125a-5p/IGF2BP3 Axis in Advanced Gastric Cancer and Its Clinical Relevance

open access: yesTechnology in Cancer Research & Treatment, 2020
RNA-binding proteins have been associated with cancer development. The overexpression of a well-known RNA-binding protein, insulin-like growth factor 2 messenger RNA–binding protein 3, has been identified as an indicator of poor prognosis in patients ...

Insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-I and IGF binding proteins axis in diabetes mellitus [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of Pediatric Endocrinology & Metabolism, 2015
Increasing evidence suggests an important role of the insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-IGF binding protein (IGFBP) axis in the maintenance of normal glucose and lipid metabolism. Significant changes occur in the local IGF-I-IGFBPs environment in response

Structural basis for the inhibition of insulin-like growth factors by insulin-like growth factor-binding proteins [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 2006
Insulin-like growth factor-binding proteins (IGFBPs) control bioavailability, activity, and distribution of insulin-like growth factor (IGF)1 and -2 through high-affinity IGFBP/IGF complexes. IGF-binding sites are found on N- and C-terminal fragments of IGFBPs, the two conserved domains of IGFBPs.
