An Integrated Navigation and Localization System

2021 IEEE International Conference on Smart Internet of Things (SmartIoT), 2021
Navigation and localization technique is a critical part of an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV). It provides critical position information, and determines the efficiency and accuracy of underwater tasks. To improve the accuracy and reliability of the navigation and localization system, we proposed an integrated navigation and localization system ...

Integrated Tourist Navigation System

2009 Sixth International Conference on Computer Graphics, Imaging and Visualization, 2009
Tourist navigation systems have used digital maps to provide users with location and route information for a long time. However, without detailed 3D building models, users may miss important turns at some intersections and have problems to find their target buildings.

An integrated navigation system design for Quadrotors

2015 Sensor Data Fusion: Trends, Solutions, Applications (SDF), 2015
In this work, a particle filter based integrated navigation system is designed and tested with real quadrotor systems. Conventionally, Kalman filter based algorithms is used for navigation systems which is highly non-linear. Kalman filter has significant assumptions such as linearity of system and measurement models and Gaussian distributions.

AN INTEGRATED VISION SYSTEM FOR ALV NAVIGATION

International Journal of Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence, 2000
In this paper an integrated vision system for autonomous land vehicle is described. The vision system includes 2D and 3D vision modules and information fusion module. The task of 2D vision is to provide the physical and geometry information of road, and the task of 3D vision system is to detect the obstacles in the surrounding.

An Integrated System for Autonomous Off-Road Navigation

Proceedings of the 1994 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 1997
In this paper, we report on experiments with a core system for autonomous navigation in outdoor natural terrain. The system consists of three parts: a perception module which processes range images to identify untraversable regions of the terrain, a local map management module which maintains a representation of the environment in the vicinity of the ...

An Integrated Management System for Aids to Navigation

2018 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC), 2018
In this paper, we introduce the AtoN NB-IoT system which applied the 3GPP NB-IoT technology to the AtoN facility. Using this AtoN NB-IoT service, we can remotely manage marine transport facilities and provide various information for safe navigation to ships and related organizations.

Application of System Identification Techniques for Integrated Navigation

2020 International Conference on Communications, Signal Processing, and their Applications (ICCSPA), 2021
Land vehicle positioning relies mostly on Satellite navigation systems such as the Global Positioning System (GPS). However, GPS signals may be degraded or suffer from a blockage in urban canyons and tunnels, and the positioning information provided is interrupted.

Navigation systems integration

IEE Airborne Navigation Systems Workshop, 1997
The paper is concerned with methods of improving the accuracy, continuity and integrity of airborne navigation systems. The core concept considered is integration, or combination, of navigation sensor data. The principles of integrated navigation and optimal estimation theory are discussed. The complexity of navigation system requirements is described,
