An Integrated System for Land Navigation
Navigation, 1987Perhaps the most stringent requirement for land navigation is imposed by winter operations in the high arctic. The serious consequences of being lost or failing to find a supply dump in the arctic make reliability and accuracy vital necessities. A combination of circumstances conspire to also make the arctic a particularly difficult area in which to ...

An integrated land navigation system
IEEE PLANS '88.,Position Location and Navigation Symposium, Record. 'Navigation into the 21st Century'., 2003An exploratory development model of an optimally integrated system for Artic land navigation has been designed, implemented, and tested. This system, called PLANS (Primary Land Arctic Navigation System) was designed and built to be a highly reliable, moderately accurate and moderately priced, nonradiating automatic navigation system for all-weather off-

A Totally Integrated Navigation System
Offshore Technology Conference, 1976ABSTRACT Increasing operating cost of marine geophysical surveys, coupled with expansion of surveys into deeper water and further from shore have placed new demands for reliability in navigation. Although numerous navigational system are capable of supplying good data in specific operating environments around the ...

Algorithm for integrated inertial-satellite navigation systems
Automatic Control and Computer Sciences, 2014The integration of inertial and satellite navigation systems based on optimal linear stochastic filtration is characterized by considerable computational costs of synthesized algorithms. The proposed algorithm requires minimum computational effort and enables the efficient use of integrated navigation systems in automotive vehicles.

The Integration of Air Navigation Systems
Navigation, 1968The ever increasing air traffic volume on high density international routes indicates the need for increased air space capacity. This involves reduction in air traffic separation standards. Consequently, improved navigation accuracy must be achieved. The examination of air carrier over-ocean navigation practices discloses a wide variety of navigation ...

Marine Integrated Navigation System
Navigation, 1969This paper describes a new concept for solving the age-old “navigation problem” confronting the conning officer on commercial seagoing vessels. Unlike other navigational devices, this total systems approach stresses the point that in order for a system to be truly effective it must be capable of (a) collecting all available navigational data rapidly on

An integrated MMW radar system for outdoor navigation
Proceedings of IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2002The design of a MMW radar sensor for mobile robot outdoor navigation is presented, which is able to operate robustly even under adverse weather conditions. This sensor has a range of approximately 200 metres and uses a linear array of receivers and wavefront reconstruction techniques to compute range and bearing of objects within the field of view ...

Marine Integrated Navigational Decision Support System
2012The article presents a concept of an integrated navigational decision support system for vessel traffic control. The system is based on a joint platform for decision support systems on land and ships. The platform construction is recommended to be based on the shipboard navigational decision support system.

A Robust System Integration for Autonomous Evacuation Navigation
2014During an emergency evacuation, there are two subsystems involved: fire alarm control panel system (FACPS) and building floor plan system (BFPS). Fire indicator in FACPS reacts as proactive fire notification. Once detected any abnormalities, it sends the signal to the system, and alarm will trigger continuously.
