Design of vision/INS integrated navigation system in poor vision navigation environments

2013 13th International Conference on Control, Automation and Systems (ICCAS 2013), 2013
This paper proposes a design method for an inertial and landmark-based vision integrated navigation system in poor vision navigation environments, which have fewer visible landmarks in an area. An indirect Kalman filter with feedback structure is used in the presented navigation system.

NFC/INS integrated navigation system: The promising combination for pedestrians' indoor navigation

2014 International Symposium on Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (ISFEE), 2014
It is well known that there are many limitations of the current positioning systems either indoors or outdoors. Moreover, most of the current positioning systems require preinstalled infrastructure in the surrounding environment, which is costly in most cases and requires special devices from the user side. The near field communications (NFC), inertial

GNSS/INS/VKM Vehicle Integrated Navigation System

2014
When the vehicle is in the process of moving, the GNSS signals may be unlocked or lost star which will make GNSS/INS integrated navigation system not reliable enough for driving. To solve this problem, I put forward a kind of vehicular integrated navigation scheme constructed by GNSS, INS and vehicle kinematics model.

Expert system for an INS/DGPS integrated navigator installed in a Bell 206 helicopter

Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, 2004
This paper presents a novel real-time application of fuzzy logic for an integrated navigation avionics suite. A knowledge-based system, which uses a fuzzy rule-base for a real-time INS/DGPS integrated navigation system on-board a Bell 206 helicopter, has been designed and developed.

GPS/MEMS INS integrated system for navigation in urban areas

GPS Solutions, 2007
This paper evaluates the performance of a tightly coupled GPS/INS integrated system based on low cost MEMS IMUs in dense urban areas, and investigates two different methods to improve its performance. The first method used is to derive observations from two different constraint equations reflecting the behavior of a typical land vehicle.

Integrated INS/GPS navigation systems for tactical applications

Proceedings of Position, Location and Navigation Symposium - PLANS '96, 2002
Recent advances in navigation technology have led to an overall improvement in the ability to navigate to a predetermined location. Availability of the United States Global Positioning System (GPS) has permitted high-accuracy integrated navigation performance with a wide range of inertial sensors. Kearfott has developed a family of ring laser gyroscope

A New Method of Seamless Navigation for the INS/WSN-Integrated System

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014
This work presents a new method using Kalman filter (KF) and Least Squares Support Vector Machine (LS-SVM) for the inertial navigation systems (INS)/wireless sensors network (WSN) integrated navigation. In this mode, when the ultrasonic-based WSN is working well, LS-SVM is trained for the mapping between the position measured by INS and the ...

Research on design means of GPS/INS integrated navigation system

SPIE Proceedings, 2006
Two kinds of design methods of GPS/INS integrated navigation system are presented, that is GPS/INS integrative system and integrated navigation system based on information fusion. By analyzing mathematics model of the first system error, we found that inertia velocity error would cause code loop track error.

Development of a GPS/INS integrated navigation system for model aircraft

2014 14th International Conference on Control, Automation and Systems (ICCAS 2014), 2014
This paper addresses the development of an integrated navigation system based on MEMS inertial sensors and GPS for model aircraft. The objective of this paper is to propose a loosely coupled GPS/INS integration approach using Extended Kalman filter to estimate aircraft’s position, velocity, and attitude.
