Interferometrically Enhanced Intensity and Wavelength Modulation in Tunable Diode Laser Spectroscopy
Tunable diode laser spectroscopy (TDLS) is a measurement technique with high spectral resolution. It is based on tuning the emission wavelength of a semiconductor laser by altering its current and/or its temperature.

Novel Results on SNR Estimation for Bandlimited Optical Intensity Channels
In a previous work of the author about non-data-aided estimation of the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for bandlimited optical intensity channels, a couple of limitations have been identified in terms of error performance and computational complexity.

Transverse Dynamics and Energy Tuning of Fast Electrons Generated in Sub-Relativistic Intensity Laser Pulse Interaction with Plasmas [PDF]
The regimes of quasi-mono-energetic electron beam generation were experimentally studied in the sub-relativistic intensity laser plasma interaction. The observed electron acceleration regime is unfolded with two-dimensional-particle-in-cell simulations ...

Unlocking Spectral Efficiency in Intensity Modulation and Direct Detection Systems
A number of inherently unipolar orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) modulation schemes have been introduced recently in an attempt to improve the energy efficiency of OFDM-based intensity modulation and direct detection (IM/DD) systems. All

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Non-Data-Aided SNR Estimation for Bandlimited Optical Intensity Channels
Powerful and reliable estimation of transmission parameters is an indispensable task in each receiver unit—not only for radio frequency, but also for optical wireless communication systems.

Observations of Anomalous Cosmic Rays at 1 AU [PDF]
Anomalous cosmic rays (ACRs) provide a sensitive probe of the access of energetic particles to the inner heliosphere, varying in intensity by more than two orders of magnitude during the course of the solar cycle.

PICALM::MLLT10 translocated leukemia
This comprehensive review of PICALM::MLLT10 translocated acute leukemia provides an in‐depth review of the structure and function of CALM, AF10, and the fusion oncoprotein (1). The multifaceted molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis, including nucleocytoplasmic shuttling (2), epigenetic modifications (3), and disruption of endocytosis (4), are then ...
