Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Comparison of the determination of a low-concentration active ingredient in pharmaceutical tablets by backscatter and transmission raman spectrometry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
A total of 383 tablets of a pharmaceutical product were analyzed by backscatter and transmission Raman spectrometry to determine the concentration of an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API), chlorpheniramine maleate, at the 2% m/m (4 mg) level.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

A decade of winter supraglacial lake drainage across Northeast Greenland using C-band SAR [PDF]

open access: yesThe Cryosphere
This study presents a comprehensive, multi-year assessment of winter supraglacial lake drainages on the Northeast Greenland Ice Sheet, detailing cascading drainage events, in which drainage of one lake triggers a chain of subsequent drainages that often ...

Retrofit Poverty: Socioeconomic Spatial Disparities in Retrofit Subsidies Uptake

open access: yesBuildings & Cities, 2020
Framed in the concept of distributional justice, retrofit poverty may be understood as the inequality of opportunity to improve the energy performance of the home.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Single/Few Bunch Space Charge Effects at 8-GeV in the Fermilab Main Injector [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
For Project X, it is planned to inject a beam of 3x10**11 particles per bunch into the Main Injector. Therefore, at 8-GeV, there will be increased space charge tune shifts and an increased incoherent tune spread. In preparation for these higher intensity

XMM-Newton 13H Deep field - I. X-ray sources

open access: yes, 2005
We present the results of a deep X-ray survey conducted with XMM-Newton, centred on the UK ROSAT 13H deep field area. This region covers 0.18 deg^2 and is the first of two areas covered with XMM-Newton as part of an extensive multi-wavelength survey ...

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.
