Hierarchical adaptive interacting multiple model algorithm

open access: yesIET Control Theory & Applications, 2007
When the interacting multiple model (IMM) algorithm is applied to the multiple model estimation problems, more models have to be used to improve the algorithm performance, but the use of too many models can degrade the algorithm performance. In view of this problem, a hierarchical adaptive IMM algorithm is presented in this paper.

Hospitalization Through Families’ Eyes: Comparing Inpatient Care Quality for Children With Sickle Cell Disease and Cystic Fibrosis in Canada

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Sickle cell disease (SCD) is a chronic, inherited hemoglobinopathy that requires frequent hospitalization for disease‐related complications. Canadian data on inpatient care is limited. This study compared caregiver‐reported hospital experiences of children with SCD to those with cystic fibrosis (CF), a chronic, autosomal recessive ...

Multiple adaptive factors based interacting multiple model estimator

open access: yesIET Control Theory & Applications
In the field of optoelectronic tracking, precisely modeling the motion equations of the tracked target is often challenging, and in some cases, they may even be entirely unknown.

Distributed Frobenius-Norm Finite Memory Interacting Multiple Model Estimation for Mobile Robot Localization

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
This paper proposes a novel state estimation algorithm, called the distributed Frobenius-norm finite memory interacting multiple model (DFFM-IMM) estimation algorithm, for mobile robot localization in wireless sensor networks (WSNs).

Serological Benefit of SARS‐CoV‐2 Vaccination Relative to Infection in Children With Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) are at risk of severe outcomes from SARS‐CoV‐2 (SCV2). In the post‐pandemic context, where most children have been infected with SCV2, there are limited data on whether vaccination remains beneficial in children with ALL.

State of charge estimation of li-ion batteries based on the noise-adaptive interacting multiple model

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2021
This paper presents a type of noise-adaptive (NA) interacting multiple model (IMM) algorithm combined with an unscented Kalman filter (UKF) in order to address problems in poor filtering accuracy and filtering divergence of IMM caused by the statistical ...

Time Toxicity in Wilms Tumor: Quantifying the Burden of Healthcare Interaction in the First Year After Diagnosis

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Wilms tumor (WT) treatment imposes a significant time burden on patients and their families. Time toxicity is a patient‐centered metric that quantifies the burden of healthcare interaction. We sought to define time toxicity in the first year after diagnosis of WT and hypothesized that it would increase as tumor stage and treatment ...

Variable- and Fixed-Structure Augmented IMM Algorithms Using Coordinated Turn Model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
A new variable-structure (VS) Augmented Interacting Multiple Model (AIMM) technique is developed in the paper. Fixed-structure (FS) and VS AIMM algorithms using augmented constant velocity and augmented coordinated turn (ACT) models, are proposed.

Prognosis of Long‐Term Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy and the Impact of Combined Continuous Intravenous Sodium Infusion Therapy

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Patients requiring long‐term continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) generally have poor prognoses. This study evaluated whether adding continuous intravenous sodium infusion (cIVNa) is associated with improved hemodynamics and outcomes in patients undergoing long‐term CRRT for ≥ 7 days.

A frailty model for interaction between multiple events

open access: yesJournal of Multivariate Analysis, 2013
Most models for categorical data rely on linear models in which higher order interactions are limited, usually to second order terms. Here we explore a dataset where second order interactions lead unavoidably to high order interactions. However in certain cases these interactions have a simple form which can be explained by population heterogeneity or '
