Immunochemical mapping of .alpha.-2 interferon

Biochemistry, 1985
A panel of five monoclonal antibodies, designated U1-U5, produced by murine hybridoma clones has been raised to recombinant interferon (IFN) alpha-2, and one monoclonal antibody, designated U6, has been raised to a mixture of cyanogen bromide fragments of IFN alpha-2.

Interferon-alpha-2 in the treatment of idiopathic myelofibrosis

Blut, 1988
We investigated the effect of human recombinant DNA-derived IFN-alpha-2 given in a dose of 1-2 X 10(6) units daily by subcutaneous injection to five patients with advanced idiopathic myelofibrosis (IM). Transfusion dependent anemia and symptomatic splenomegaly were taken as inclusion criteria for this pilot study.

Interleukin-2 and interferon alpha 2 combination

Oncology Reports, 1996
We have studied activity and toxicity of subcutaneous recombinant interleukin-2 and interferon alpha 2b in a series of 14 patients with advanced renal cell carcinoma. No objective response was observed, and the median survival was 16 months (range 3-19); toxicity was acceptable.

New Combined Eye Gel with Alpha-2-Beta Interferon

Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine, 2020
The results of the development of combined eye gel with interferon alpha-2-beta are presented. Experimental samples of the gel based on different gelling agents were prepared and their biotechnological and technological characteristics (the absence of the cytotoxic effect, aggregation stability, osmotic activity, bioadhesion, and rheological parameters)

Alpha-2 Interferon and 5-Fluorouracil in Advanced Colorectal Cancer

Tumori Journal, 1990
A total of 21 untreated patients (5 males, 16 females; median age, 55 years; range, 28-72) with advanced measurable colorectal carcinoma were treated with an association of 5-fluoro-uracil (1000 mg/weekly) and alpha-2 interferon (three times a week s.c.: 6×10 6 U in the 1st month, 9×10

Interferon alpha-2 enhances slow-wave sleep in rabbits

International Journal of Immunopharmacology, 1987
Interferon alpha-2 (IFN) is a leukocyte product with several biological properties including antiviral activity, pyrogenicity and enhancement of immune functions. We report here that an additional facet of IFN activity is its ability to enhance slow-wave sleep (SWS) without greatly altering other aspects of sleep.

Induction of acute corneal allograft rejection by alpha-2 interferon

The American Journal of Medicine, 1987
A 38-year-old man who underwent corneal transplantation in 1973 for treatment of a keratoconus is described. In 1982, hairy cell leukemia was diagnosed and he was treated with splenectomy followed by chlorambucil and androgen therapy. In April 1984, treatment with alpha-2 interferon was begun, and two weeks later, evidence of acute corneal allograft ...

Hairy cell leukemia and mucormycosis. Treatment with alpha-2 interferon

The American Journal of Medicine, 1986
Right maxillary sinus mucormycosis developed in a 45-year-old patient with hairy cell leukemia and pancytopenia. The patient recovered with surgical debridement, amphotericin therapy, and institution of alpha-2 interferon as therapy for his hairy cell leukemia.
