Correlations between Serum Interleukins-2,-4 Levels and Some Biochemical Parameters in Iraqi Patients with Osteoporosis

open access: yesمجلة كلية الطب, 2017
Background: Osteoporosis is a frequent disease that is manifested by reduced in mineral density and raised in fracture risk. Recent studies have indicated that osteoporosis is caused by composite connections among local and systemic regulators of bone ...

Time‐Controlled Dual Targeting to Program Systemic and Intercellular Transfer of Therapeutic Effects

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Aspirin‐liposomes loaded onto monocytes enable inflammation‐triggered targeting and efficient hand‐over of aspirin to inflamed cells. Monocytes uptake a significant portion of aspirin‐liposomes, prolonging therapeutic action. This approach enhances anti‐inflammatory effects through intercellular transfer, demonstrating a translational strategy for ...

Production of interleukin-2 and interleukin-2 inhibitor in patients with palmoplantar pustulosis

open access: yesActa Dermato-Venereologica, 1987
We studied production of interleukin-2 (IL-2) and IL-2 inhibitor from peripheral blood of patients with palmoplantar pustulosis (PPP). Nineteen patients were divided into two groups: those with and those without arthro-osteitis. Although IL-2 production in both groups of patients was within normal limits, those with arthro-osteitis showed greater ...

Multifunctional Hydroxyapatite Coated with Gallium Liquid Metal‐Based Silver Nanoparticles for Infection Prevention and Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A multifunctional hydroxyapatite (HAp) coating integrated with silver‐gallium liquid metal nanoparticles (HAp‐Ag‐GaNPs) exhibits dual antibacterial and osteogenic properties. It effectively inhibits Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria, including resistant strains, while enhancing bone regeneration.

Engineering Novel DNA Nanoarchitectures for Targeted Drug Delivery and Aptamer Mediated Apoptosis in Cancer Therapeutics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Designer DNA Architecture‐templated Drug Conjugates (DDA‐DCs) are comprised of a DNA nanomaterial decorated with multiple drug‐loaded DNA aptamers. DDA‐DCs use a combination of multiple aptamer types, each recognizing a different membrane protein to achieve precise targeting of cancer cells.

Interleukin 2 activation of natural killer cells rapidly induces the expression and phosphorylation of the Leu-23 activation antigen. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
IL-2 potentiates both growth and cytotoxic function of T lymphocytes and NK cells. Resting peripheral blood NK cells can respond directly to rIL-2, without requirement for accessory cells or cofactors, and enhanced cytotoxicity can be measured within a ...
