Expression of interleukin-4 and interleukin-13 and their receptors in colorectal cancer
International Journal of Colorectal Disease, 2012Interleukin-4 (IL-4) and interleukin-13 (IL-13) are anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory cytokines which can influence cancer-directed immunosurveillance. Nothing is presently known about expression of these cytokines and their receptors (IL-4R and IL-13R) in colorectal cancer.

Interleukin-13: Characterization and biologic properties
1995Upon activation by antigen, helper T cells respond by secreting factors, called cytokines, that coordinate the immune response. The type of T-cell response initiated depends upon the antigenic stimulus and can result in a polarization of the spectrum of cytokines secreted.

Inhibiting Interleukin-4 and Interleukin-13 in Difficult-to-Control Asthma
New England Journal of Medicine, 2013One of the most challenging aspects of the clinical management of asthma is determining how to treat patients whose condition is poorly controlled despite the use of inhaled glucocorticoids and long-acting beta-agonists (LABAs). Although most patients have a response to these treatments, it is estimated that asthma remains poorly controlled in as many ...
