THE CHANGES IN THE LEVEL OF BETA ENDORPHIN, INTERSLEUKIN-2, INTERLEUKIN-4, INTERLEUKIN-6, IMUNOGLOBULIN AND CORTISOL HORMONE ON THE PRACTICES OF SATRIA NUSANTARA [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The purpose of this research is to reveal the changes of immunity at breathing exercises. This is an experimental research study. This research used “randomized pretest-posttest control group design.

Uprolides N, O and P from the Panamanian Octocoral Eunicea succinea. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Three new diterpenes, uprolide N (1), uprolide O (2), uprolide P (3) and a known one, dolabellane (4), were isolated from the CH₂Cl₂-MeOH extract of the gorgonian octocoral Eunicea succinea, collected from Bocas del Toro, on the Caribbean coast of Panama.

CircCCNB1 inhibits vasculogenic mimicry by sequestering NF90 to promote miR‐15b‐5p and miR‐7‐1‐3p processing in nasopharyngeal carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CircCCNB1 expression is down‐regulated in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC); thus, less NF90 protein is bound to circCCNB1 and more binds to pri‐miRNAs, blocking their (pri‐miRNAs) binding to DGCR8 and inhibiting the processing and generation of miR‐15b‐5p/miR‐7‐1‐3p. Furthermore, decreased miR‐15b‐5p/miR‐7‐1‐3p promotes the expression of the target genes

MHCII-mediated dialog between group 2 innate lymphoid cells and CD4+ T cells potentiates type 2 immunity and promotes parasitic helminth expulsion [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s) release interleukin-13 (IL-13) during protective immunity to helminth infection and detrimentally during allergy and asthma.

Repurposing Interleukin-6 Inhibitors to Combat COVID-19. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Severe acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) is a pandemic with major implications across the world. One of the most frequent causes of death from SARS-CoV-2 is fatal pneumonia from coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), which is associated

Inhibitor of DNA binding‐1 is a key regulator of cancer cell vasculogenic mimicry

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Elevated expression of transcriptional regulator inhibitor of DNA binding 1 (ID1) promoted cancer cell‐mediated vasculogenic mimicry (VM) through regulation of pro‐angiogenic and pro‐cancerous genes (e.g. VE‐cadherin (CDH5), TIE2, MMP9, DKK1). Higher ID1 expression also increased metastases to the lung and the liver.

Regulatory T-cell responses to low-dose interleukin-2 in HCV-induced vasculitis.

open access: yesNew England Journal of Medicine, 2011
BACKGROUND Patients with vasculitis induced by the hepatitis C virus (HCV) have reduced levels of regulatory T cells (Tregs). Resolution of HCV infection correlates with cure of vasculitis and the recovery of Treg levels.

Hydrogen sulfide repairs testicular damage induced by heat stress in rats

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Heat stress can cause testicular damage and affect fertility. We investigated the potential protective role of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) against heat stress‐induced testicular injury and observed that H2S donor NaHS can effectively restore testicular damage in rats by inhibiting inflammation and oxidative stress. Our results suggest that H2S might be used

THE INVESTIGATION OF SOME CYTOKINES ROLE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF ALOPECIA AREATA

open access: yesВісник проблем біології і медицини, 2020
The immune response plays a leading role in the pathogenesis of alopecia areata which develops by Тh1-type with the formation of a large number of proinflammatory cytokines: IL-1, IL-2, IL-6, IL-8, IFN-γ and TNF-α. The anti-inflammatory cytokines disrupt
