Měření mechanických vlastností látek pružných nádrží [PDF]
This work is focused on measuring mechanical properties of a fabric used in flexible intermediate bulk containers. Firstly, the methods of measuring are analyzed and discussed. Then a method of measuring is chosen with the devices needed to accomplish it.

Impact of the intermediate principal stress on the strength of heterogeneous rock [PDF]
A numerical model simulating a granular material has been used to study the impact of the intermediate principal stress on rock strength. While maintaining the minimum principal stress at zero, the model predicts strength to increase with increasing constant ratios of σ2/σ1.

This perspective highlights emerging insights into how the circadian transcription factor CLOCK:BMAL1 regulates chromatin architecture, cooperates with other transcription factors, and coordinates enhancer dynamics. We propose an updated framework for how circadian transcription factors operate within dynamic and multifactorial chromatin landscapes ...

The role of histone modifications in transcription regulation upon DNA damage
This review discusses the critical role of histone modifications in regulating gene expression during the DNA damage response (DDR). By modulating chromatin structure and recruiting repair factors, these post‐translational modifications fine‐tune transcriptional programmes to maintain genomic stability.

Evolution of mining‐induced stress in fully mechanized top‐coal caving under high horizontal stress
In fully mechanized top‐coal caving (FMTC), the effects of coal caving are closely related to the degree of damage to the top‐coal which is determined by the stress state therein.

Nonlinear rheology of colloidal dispersions [PDF]
Colloidal dispersions are commonly encountered in everyday life and represent an important class of complex fluid. Of particular significance for many commercial products and industrial processes is the ability to control and manipulate the macroscopic ...

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Force dipoles and stable local defects on fluid vesicles
An exact description is provided of an almost spherical fluid vesicle with a fixed area and a fixed enclosed volume locally deformed by external normal forces bringing two nearby points on the surface together symmetrically.
