Imposterism and Self‐Efficacy Among Canadian Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Residents: A National Survey

The Laryngoscope, EarlyView.
In this national survey of Canadian OHNS residents, imposter phenomenon was highly prevalent, with nearly 80% of trainees reporting moderate to intense symptoms. Female and junior residents demonstrated significantly higher imposter scores, while greater self‐efficacy was associated with lower levels of impostorism.

The Impact of a Research Year on Scholarly Output Among 2025 Otolaryngology Residency Applicants

We evaluated the impact of a dedicated research year on scholarly output among 2025 otolaryngology residency applicants. A dedicated research year was associated with greater overall scholarly output, particularly unpublished work and oral presentations, but not with greater numbers of published articles or first‐author manuscripts.
