This work investigates modifying interfacial contacts in realizing giant‐performance semiconductor nanomembrane optoelectronics. Strategies, including surface reaction and buffer layer work‐function modulation, are explored to boost the Schottky barrier. An emerging material of YbOx is utilized for near‐ideal Ohmic contact.

Discovery of a long inverted repeat in human POTE genes
POTE gene family is tightly related to prostate, ovary, testis and placenta cancers. We recently identified an intronic long inverted repeat (LIR) in some members of the POTE gene family. Due to the capacity of inducing gene amplification, the POTE intronic LIRs may be involved in over-expression of the POTE genes.

Control of Ferromagnetism of Vanadium Oxide Thin Films by Oxidation States
The nonstoichiometric VOx exhibits a distinct ferromagnetic hysteresis loop and demonstrates a high magnetic susceptibility (χ=dMdH$ = \frac{{dM}}{{dH}}\;$∼10). Micromagnetic simulations show the results of the “partial volume fraction ferromagnetic phase model” for VOx/Co/Pt structure.

A unifying model that explains the origins of human inverted copy number variants.
With the release of the telomere-to-telomere human genome sequence and the availability of both long-read sequencing and optical genome mapping techniques, the identification of copy number variants (CNVs) and other structural variants is providing new ...
