Ion-exchange chromatography purification of extracellular vesicles

open access: yesBioTechniques, 2017
Despite numerous studies, isolating pure preparations of extracellular vesicles (EVs) has proven challenging. Here, we compared ion-exchange chromatography (IEC) to the widely used sucrose density gradient (SDG) centrifugation method for the purification

Assessing glyphosate concentrations in six reservoirs of Paraíba do Sul and Guandu River Basins in southeast Brazil

open access: yesRevista Ambiente & Água, 2021
Glyphosate is a popular herbicide used worldwide, and several studies consider it to be an environmental hazard affecting human health. The present study aimed to detect glyphosate in six different reservoirs of Paraíba do Sul and Guandu River Basins in ...

Strategies for predictive modeling of overloaded oligonucleotide elution profiles in ion-pair chromatography

open access: yes, 2023
Due to their potential for gene regulation, oligonucleotides have moved into focus as one of the preferred modalities modulating currently undruggable disease-associated targets.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Silica based click amino stationary phase for ion chromatography and hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography

open access: yes, 2012
A silica based amino stationary phase was prepared by immobilization of propargylamine on azide-silica via click chemistry. This readily prepared click amino stationary phase demonstrated good selectivity in separation of common inorganic anions under ...

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

A new method for determination of fluoride ion in commodity tea by ion-exclusion chromatography

open access: yesCyTA - Journal of Food, 2018
Due to the effect of interfering ion, the content of fluoride ion in tea brew, detected by ion-exchange chromatography, was markedly higher than ion-selective electrode.

Development of an analytical method to detect cyanide in Chinese liquor by ion chromatography with pulsed amperometric detection

open access: yesZhongguo shipin weisheng zazhi, 2020
Objective This study aimed to develop an ion chromatography-pulse amperometry (IC-PAD) technique for the identification and quantification of cyanide in Chinese liquor. Methods The real samples from local markets were diluted to 1∶10 with ultrapure water

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.
