FNDC4 and FNDC5 Attenuate SARS‐CoV‐2 S1‐Induced Inflammatory Responses in Human Adipose Tissue
In obesity, reduced FNDC4 and FNDC5 amplify SARS‐CoV‐2 S1–driven inflammation in visceral adipose tissue. These adipo‐myokines limit adipocyte–macrophage inflammatory signalling, suggesting a protective role against viral‐induced adipose tissue dysfunction.

EA exerts therapeutic effects in ischemic stroke through multiple mechanisms: it alleviates acute injury by suppressing neuroinflammation, excitotoxicity, oxidative stress, apoptosis, pyroptosis, ferroptosis, autophagy dysregulation, and blood–brain barrier disruption, while enhancing cerebral blood flow, angiogenesis, and neurogenesis to support ...

Is Irisin Anticancer Agent? [PDF]
Irisin is a protein, which is encoded by the FNDC5 gene. Irisin secreted as a hormone secret via Fibronectin type III domain-containing protein 5. Irisin is always provide beneficial effect of exercise on cellular metabolism as well as obesity and metabolic diseases. In addition, it plays a role in cancer.

Myostatin inhibits osteoblastic differentiation by suppressing osteocyte-derived exosomal microRNA-218: A novel mechanism in muscle-bone communication [PDF]
Muscle and bone are closely associated in both anatomy and function, but the mechanisms that coordinate their synergistic action remain poorly defined. Myostatin, a myokine secreted by muscles, has been shown to inhibit muscle growth, and the disruption ...

Irisin Prevents Disuse-Induced Osteocyte Apoptosis
ABSTRACT Previous results showed that intermittently administered irisin improves bone mass in normal mice and prevents the development of disuse-induced osteoporosis and muscular atrophy in hindlimb-suspended mice, a murine model able to mimic the absence of mechanical loading.
