Exploitation of siderophores for the speciation of iron [PDF]
Iron is essential for life. It acts as an electron donor/acceptor in metabolic processes facilitated by its variable valency. Although vital, it is toxic at high levels due to Fe2+ oxidation. Iron toxicity is a concern as it can affect growth and product

A multifunctional nanomedicine co‐loading of the α‐emitter 223RaCl2 within iron‐based MOFs is developed. Precisely targeted to mitochondria, it exploits the full decay spectrum to synchronize three therapeutic actions: direct α‐particle ionization, self‐powered catalytic H2O2 generation via secondary electrons, and immunogenic cell death induction ...

Accompanying Structural Transformations in Polarity Switching of Heavily Doped Conjugated Polymers
The polarity switching of heavily doped p‐type conjugated polymers (CPs) toward environmentally stable electron‐rich thin films is demonstrated. Multiscale analyses, incorporating spectroscopic, electrochemical, and scattering techniques, reveal structural and chemical transformations induced by excessive doping with AuCl3.

Nanomaterial‐Based Optical Biosensors for SARS‐CoV‐2 Detection: A Retrospective of the Pandemic
This review discusses nanomaterial‐based optical biosensors developed for or adapted to the detection of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2). It concludes by providing a perspective on how lessons learned during the coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID‐19) pandemic may be applied for future research on nanomaterial‐based ...
