A Review an Isatin, Isatin Derivatives and their Pharmacological Activity
Research Journal of Pharmacology and Pharmacodynamics, 2021Isatin or 1H-indole-2, 3-dione is an indole derivative. Isatin is an important class of heterocyclic compounds. Recently, heterocyclic compounds analogues and their derivatives have attracted strong interest in medicinal chemistry due to their biological and pharmacological properties. The structure have offered a high value of diversity that is proven

New isatin derivatives with antioxidant activity
European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 2010The reaction between isatin and 2,5-dimethoxyaniline is described. The main product was identified as 3,3-bis(4-amino-2,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-1,3-dihydroindol-2-one. The antioxidant activity of the compounds isolated was evaluated with two methods. Three published antitumor E-3-(2-chloro-3-indolylmethylene)1,3-dihydroindol-2-ones entered the same tests to

Electrochemical characterization of isatin-thiosemicarbazone derivatives
Journal of Chemical Sciences, 2021Herein, we have notably described the electrochemical behavior of four isatin-thiosemicarbazone derivatives. In this regard, cyclic voltammograms of isatin-3-thiosemicarbazone (ITSC), isatin-3-(N4-benzylthiosemicarbazone) (ITSC-Ph), 1-(5-nitro-2-oxoindolin-3-ylidene)thiosemicarbazide (NO2-ITSC) and 1-(5-nitro-2-oxoindolin-3-ylidene)-4 ...

VASODILATORY ACTIVITY OF NOVEL CARBAMATE DERIVATIVES OF ISATIN
Clinical and Experimental Pharmacology and Physiology, 2008SUMMARY Isatin (1H‐indole‐2,3 dione) is an endogenous compound that may act as a physiological regulator of muscle contraction by reducing cGMP production by inhibition of guanylyl cyclase (GC) activity. Intracellular cGMP levels can regulate the contractile response of smooth muscle.

New isatin derivatives: synthesis and reactions
Synthetic Metals, 1990Abstract The synthesis of new 5-substituted isatins with 2-thienyl, 3-thienyl, 2,2′-bithien-5-yl and phenyl substituents is described. The compounds were prepared via the palladium-catalysed cross-coupling reaction of 5-bromoisatin with 2-thiophene, 3-thiophene, 2,2′-bithien-5-yl and benzene boronic acids, respectively.

Synthesis of Isatin and 5-Bromoisatin Derivatives
Russian Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2001New N-derivatives of isatin were synthesized by treating ethyl chloroacetate, N-(2-chloroethyl)morpholine, and 1,4-di(chloromethyl)benzene with isatin sodium salt. N-Derivatives of isatin and 5-bromoisatin were also prepared by Mannich reaction.
