Synthesis of 4-Tetrazolyl-Substituted 3,4-Dihydroquinazoline Derivatives with Anticancer Activity via a One-Pot Sequential Ugi-Azide/Palladium-Catalyzed Azide-Isocyanide Cross-Coupling/Cyclization Reaction.

Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2022
A new one-pot preparation of 4-tetrazolyl-3,4-dihydroquinazolines has been reported. The Ugi-azide reactions of 2-azidobenzaldehydes, amines, trimethylsilyl azide, and isocyanides produced azide intermediates without separation, which were treated with ...

Mixed-Isocyanide Complexes of Technetium under Steric and Electronic Control.

Inorganic Chemistry, 2022
Reactions of the alkyl isocyanide fac-[Tc(CO)3(CNR)2Cl] complexes (2) (CNR = CNnBu or CNtBu) with the sterically encumbered isocyanide CNp-FArDarF2 [DArF = 3,5-(CF3)2C6H3] allow a selective exchange of the carbonyl ligands of 2 and the isolation of the ...

Isocyanides

2022
Isocyanides are powerful functionalities by virtue of the carbene-like terminal carbon that imparts unique reactivity. Capable of functioning as electrophiles, nucleophiles, radical acceptors, and in transition metal-catalyzed insertions, isocyanides engage in a plethora of methodologies that generate complex molecules from relatively simple starting ...

Isomerism, aggregation-induced emission and mechanochromism of isocyanide cycloplatinated(ii) complexes

Journal of Materials Chemistry C, 2020
Neutral cyclometalated Pt(ii) complexes incorporating chloride or alkynyl/isocyanide show geometrical isomerism and the ppy-based derivatives combine aggregation-induced emission (AIE) and mechanochromic luminescence (MCL).

2,4,6-Trimethylphenyl isocyanide

Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 2002
The title compound, C(10)H(11)N, displays a crystallographic mirror plane that incorporates all the non-H atoms, as well as the H atoms attached to the aromatic ring. The isocyano group is almost linear and shows an N[triple bond]C bond distance of 1.158 (3) A.

Fluoromethyl isocyanide and difluoromethyl isocyanide

Journal of Fluorine Chemistry, 1991
Abstract Whereas methyl isocyanide is known since more than a hundred years, the chemistry of its perfluorinated derivative CNCF 3 , has been developed only recently. Both compounds differ drastically. Herein we report the syntheses of the missing partially fluorinated compounds CNCH 2 F and CNCHF 2 via their pentacarbonyl chromium complexes.

Isocyanide-Based Multicomponent Reaction ‘without’ Isocyanides

Synlett, 2009
We present here a one-pot, four-component sequence that affords Ugi-type adducts starting from simple benzyl or allyl bromides. The isocyanides are prepared in situ under alkylation of silver cyanide salts and the resulting mixture is directly used in a Ugi―Smiles coupling.

The metabolic fate of the isocyanide moiety. Are isocyanides pharmacophore groups neglected by medicinal chemists?

Chemical Research in Toxicology, 2020
Despite the isolation of hundreds of bioactive isocyanides from terrestrial fungi and bacteria as well as marine organisms, the isocyanide functionality has so far received scanty attention from a medicinal chemistry standpoint. The widespread tenet that
