Ferritin‐doped hybrid nanoparticles triggered accurate tumor‐specific hemorrhage for enhanced in situ photothermal therapy and evoked anti‐tumor immunity. Notably, HFn/GA‐Fe specifically induced tumor hemorrhage 12 h after intravenous injection, resulting in visible color darkening. Through photoacoustic imaging, tumor vessels could be clearly observed

Influence of deflocculant on the isoelectric point of refractory powders: Considerations on the action of deflocculant [PDF]
Isoelectric point changes in suspensions of refractory materials vis-a-vis the role of deflocculants used in monolithic refractories were investigated by considering the mineral compositions and adsorbed ions in four kinds of clay.

The 68,000-Dalton Neurofilament-Associated Polypeptide is a Component of Nonneuronal Cells and of Skeletal Myofibrils [PDF]
Purified preparations of 10-nm neurofilaments from rat spinal cord and bovine or porcine brain contain a predominant 68,000-dalton polypeptide. This polypeptide is also a major component of the neurofilaments that copurify with brain tubulin isolated by ...

Overcharging and reentrant condensation of thermoresponsive ionic microgels [PDF]
We investigated the complexation of thermoresponsive anionic poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNiPAM) microgels and cationic $\epsilon$-polylysine ($\epsilon$-PLL) chains. By combining electrophoresis, light scattering, transmission electron microscopy (TEM)

Detecting proteins secreted by a single cell while retaining its viability remains challenging. A particles‐in‐particle (PiPs) system made by co‐encapsulating barcoded microparticles (BMPs) with a single cell inside an alginate hydrogel particle is introduced.

Topological Phase Transition in Quantum Heat Engine Cycles
We explore signatures of a topological phase transition (TPT) in the work and efficiency of a quantum heat engine, which uses a single layer topological insulator, stanene, in an external electric field as a working substance.

Symmetry breaking and electrostatic attraction between two identical surfaces [PDF]
By allowing the surface charge of one surface to affect the adsorption equilibrium of the other, we establish the existence of a long-range attractive interaction between two identical surfaces in an electrolyte containing polyvalent counterions with a ...

Engineered Protein‐Based Ionic Conductors for Sustainable Energy Storage Applications
Rational incorporation of charged residues into an engineered, self‐assembling protein scaffold yields solid‐state protein films with outstanding ionic conductivity. Salt‐doping further enhances conductivity, an effect amplified in the engineered variants. These properties enable the material integration into an efficient supercapacitor.
