Conservative Management of Unstable Angina With Incidental Coronary‐Pulmonary Artery Fistula: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 10, October 2025.
Coronary angiography showed 50% LAD stenosis (yellow arrow), malformed proximal LAD vessels (red arrows), and blood shunting to the pulmonary artery (PA, blue arrow; white arrows for flow). ABSTRACT Coronary‐pulmonary artery fistula (CPAF) is a rare cardiovascular condition that requires precise diagnosis through comprehensive multimodal imaging ...

Cardiomyocyte USP20 alleviates septic cardiomyopathy by deubiquitinating and inhibiting NLRP3 activity

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 10, October 2025.
Our findings indicated that USP20 was downregulated in the myocardial tissues of septic mice. Cardiomyocyte‐specific deficiency of USP20 exacerbated myocardial injury and cardiac dysfunction induced by LPS and CLP. Conversely, the overexpression of USP20 in cardiomyocytes alleviated LPS‐induced myocardial damage.

Structural and Functional Variations of Enzymes Indicate Latitudinal Adaptations of Subarctic and Arctic Sea Urchins

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 10, October 2025.
Rapid warming in Arctic fjords challenges cold‐adapted benthic species, such as sea urchins of the genus Strongylocentrotus, key grazers on kelp forests. By comparing Arctic and Subarctic populations, we identified genetic and enzymatic differences in Arctic sea urchins, suggesting enhanced metabolic efficiency at low temperatures and potential for ...

Predictive value of traditional laboratory parameters and inflammatory indices for same‐day seizure recurrence in patients with epileptic seizures

open access: yesEpilepsia Open, Volume 10, Issue 5, Page 1575-1586, October 2025.
Abstract Objective Early recurrence of epileptic seizures within the same day of emergency department (ED) admission poses clinical management challenges. While several blood‐based parameters have been proposed as prognostic markers in various neurological disorders, their predictive utility in same‐day seizure recurrence remains underexplored.
