Isolation of amniotic stem cell lines with potential for therapy

Stem cells capable of differentiating to multiple lineages may be valuable for therapy. We report the isolation of human and rodent amniotic fluid-derived stem (AFS) cells that express embryonic and adult stem cell markers. Undifferentiated AFS cells expand extensively without feeders, double in 36 h and are not tumorigenic.

Abstract The Ginzburg-Landau theory and micromagnetic theory of antiferromagnetism are applied to study a magnetic structure of isolated flux line in an antiferromagnetic superconductor of type II. The structure consists of three coaxial domains in which paramagnetic, spin-flop and antiferromagnetic phases coexist with superconductivity.

Molecular Line Observations of Isolated Cores

We have observed a number of isolated, small molecular clouds in the12CO,13CO and C18O molecular lines using the 22-m Mopra telescope. We perform an LTE analysis to find optical depths, column densities and observed masses of each of the cores. A virial analysis suggests that all the cores are consistent with being in virial equilibrium.
