The Oxylipin Signal Jasmonic Acid Is Activated by an Enzyme That Conjugates It to Isoleucine in Arabidopsis

open access: yesThe Plant Cell Online, 2004
Despite its importance in a variety of plant defense responses, our understanding of how jasmonic acid (JA) functions at the biochemical level is limited.

LincNEAT1 Encoded‐NEAT1‐31 Promotes Phagocytosis by Directly Activating the Aurora‐A–PI3K–AKT Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
LincNEAT1 Encoded‐NEAT1‐31 micropeptide directly binds with Aurora‐A and enhanced AKT pathways to pormotes phagocytosis against multi cancer cells. Abstract Macrophages play vital roles in innate and adaptive immunity, and their essential functions are mediated by phagocytosis and antigen presentation.

Change of Indices of the Amino Acid Composition of Rats' Hearts at Artificial Hypobiosis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
A series of unsolved questions in such sciences as: medicine, veterinary, biology still exist in the modern world. One of them is a search for new promising ways of anaesthetization, at which it would be unnecessary to use apparatuses as an “artificial ...

Low-protein diets supplemented with isoleucine alleviate lipid deposition in broilers through activating 5′ adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase and janus kinase 2/signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 signaling pathways

open access: yesPoultry Science, 2023
: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of isoleucine (Ile) on growth performance, meat quality and lipid metabolism of broilers fed a low-protein diet (LPD).

Molecular basis of various forms of maple syrup urine disease in Chilean patients

open access: yesMolecular Genetics & Genomic Medicine, 2021
Background Maple syrup urine disease (MSUD) is an autosomal recessive inherited metabolic disorder caused by the deficient activity of the branched‐chain α‐keto acid dehydrogenase (BCKD) enzymatic complex.

JA‐Mediated Regulation of Amino Acid Homeostasis Adjusts Metabolic Flux and Enhances Spider Mite Tolerance via the SlJAZ8‐SlWRKY57‐SlAVT6s Module in Tomato

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study elucidates a novel SlJAZ8‐SlWRKY57‐SlAVT6A/SlAVT6B module that effectively channels metabolic flux from primary to secondary metabolism, impacting plant growth, development, and resistance. Two novel vacuolar amino acid exporters, SlAVT6A and SlAVT6B, fine‐tunes trichomes, terpenes, and gibberellins, bolstering spider mite resistance.

Antimitotic action of cornin as a biologically active polypeptide. I. Biochemical properties of cornin [PDF]

open access: yes, 1965
We succeeded in the extraction of a substance from beef cornea and rabbit muscle, that markedly inhibits mitosis of sea urchin eggs. The substance extracted from beef cornea is non-dialysable and it can be separated into three fractions by DEAE-cellulose

Effect of Intravenous L-Isoleucine Infusion upon Concentration of Free Isoleucine in Milk

open access: yesJournal of Dairy Science, 1976
The growth of Streptococcus agalactiae in milk is inhibited by elevated free isoleucine. Free amino acid concentrations in both plasma and milk from three lactating dairy cows were studied after intravenous infusions of L-isoleucine at 62, 300, 380, and 840 mumol/kg of body weight. Free isoleucine was lower in milk than in plasma.

Optimization of carbon source and glucose feeding strategy for improvement of L-isoleucine production by Escherichia coli

open access: yesBiotechnology, biotechnological equipment, 2015
Fed-batch cultivations of L-isoleucine-producing Escherichia coli TRFP (SGr, α-ABAr, with a pTHR101 plasmid containing a thr operon and ilvA) were carried out on different carbon sources: glucose, sucrose, fructose, maltose and glycerol.

Integrated Transcriptome and Metabolomics Analyses Show MYC as a Potential Therapeutic Target for Behçet's Uveitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Integrated single‐cell transcriptomic and metabolomic analyses reveal that MYC‐driven glycolysis activates the PI3K‐AKT‐FOXO1 pathway, disrupting Th17/Treg balance and promoting uveitis. MYC inhibition restores immune homeostasis and alleviates disease symptoms.
