Cost‐Utility Analysis of Intracapsular and Extracapsular Techniques for Pediatric Tonsillectomy
Intracapsular coblation tonsillectomy (ICT) is more cost‐effective than extracapsular tonsillectomy (ECT) in pediatric patients, particularly for ambulatory procedures. In a prospective cohort of over 5000 cases, ICT was associated with lower costs and comparable or better quality‐adjusted life years, even when accounting for potential revision ...

PostForecasts.jl: A Julia package for probabilistic forecasting by postprocessing point predictions
Postprocessing of point predictions is a relatively simple and efficient way to compute probabilistic forecasts, which are the basis of uncertainty assessment for decision support and risk management.

Antenatal Maternal Smoking and Lung Function in Very Prematurely Born Children
ABSTRACT Introduction Antenatal exposure to maternal smoking negatively impacts on fetal lung development resulting in infant lung function abnormalities. Lung clearance indices (LCI) were worse in term born infants exposed to antenatal maternal smoking compared to not. Our aim was to assess the effect of antenatal maternal smoking on lung function, in

Applying the Partial Order Continual Reassessment Method to High‐Dimensional Treatment Combinations
ABSTRACT Recent years have seen increasing popularities in therapies that combines several drugs and/or schedules, which imposes great difficulties on the design of appropriate Phase I clinical trials. The Partial Ordering Continual Reassessment Method (POCRM), among others, is a popular design that can be easily adapted to those complex settings ...

Weighted L∞ isotonic regression
Abstract Algorithms are given for determining weighted L ∞ isotonic regressions satisfying order constraints given by a directed acyclic graph with n vertices and m edges. An Θ ( m log n ) algorithm is given, but it uses parametric search, so a practical approach is introduced, based on calculating prefix solutions.
