Tumor‐Intrinsic ARHGEF3 Enhances Antitumor Immunity by Promoting T‐Cell Infiltration and Limiting Myeloid Cell‐Mediated Immunosuppression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ARHGEF3 is broadly downregulated across human cancers and correlates with patient prognosis. Tumor‐intrinsic ARHGEF3 activates the RHOA–ROCK–PTEN cascade to inhibit AKT signaling, thereby promoting chemokine‐driven T‐cell infiltration and relieving lipid‐mediated myeloid immunosuppression.

In Silico Identification of Novel Compounds as Anthelmintics Against Haemonchus contortus Through Inhibiting β-Tubulin Isotype 1 and Glutathione S-Transferase

open access: yesAnimals
Haemonchosis caused by the parasitic worm Haemonchus contortus is a major threat to cattle and other ruminants and imposes significant economic losses in the livestock industry.

The linguistic status of Isotype

open access: yes, 2011
It is ironic that Otto Neurath, one of those responsible for the ‘linguistic turn’ in philosophy of the twentieth century, should have been concerned during the last twenty years of his life with developing a ‘pictorial language’.

Isolation and characterisation of a beta tubulin isotype 2 gene from two species of cyathostomin

open access: yes, 2005
This study describes the isolation and characterisation of beta tubulin isotype 2 cDNA sequences from two common species of cyathostomin, Cylicocyclus nassatus and Cyathostomian catinatum.

Optimization of B Cell Responses in Human Immune System Mice Through Organoid Based Screening

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Human immune system (HIS) mice show limited B cell responses to immunization. Using HIS mouse spleen organoids, this study identifies cytokine combinations and innate immune signals that drive human B cell expansion, differentiation, and class‐switch. Applying these signals in vivo through temporal separation enables antigen‐specific IgG responses and ...

Isotype: design and contexts 1925–1971

open access: yes, 2013
The work in graphic communication carried out by Otto Neurath and his associates – now commonly known simply as Isotype – has been the subject of much interest in recent years.

Tubulin isotype substitution revealed that isotype composition modulates microtubule dynamics in C. elegans embryos

open access: yes, 2017
Microtubules (MTs) are polymers composed of α- and β-tubulin heterodimers, which are generally encoded by multiple gene loci. Despite implications of distinct properties of isotypes, how they contribute to diverse MT dynamics in vivo remains unclear ...

Multimodal Imaging Reveals Rapid Catecholamine Uptake and Release by Neutrophils

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We show that immune cells (neutrophils) synthesize, uptake, and store catecholamine neurotransmitters such as dopamine or adrenaline. They also release them in response to specific stimuli (serotonin), which we directly visualize using fluorescent nanosensors. We further demonstrate that catecholamines affect neutrophil functions (NETosis) and platelet

Materials‐Guided Gene‐Ionizable Lipid Nanoparticles to Reverse Iron‐Associated Immune Resistance in Renal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Iron overload is a common metabolic disturbance in cancer and contributes to poor outcomes in renal cell carcinoma (RCC), yet its effects on the tumour immune microenvironment remain unclear. Here we identify a previously unrecognized immunosuppressive axis in which iron overload downregulates the palmitoyltransferase ZDHHC12 in CD8+ T cells ...
