Isotype Switching Increases Efficacy of Antibody Protection against Staphylococcal Enterotoxin B-Induced Lethal Shock and Staphylococcus aureus Sepsis in Mice

open access: yesmBio, 2014
Staphylococcal enterotoxin B (SEB) is a potent toxin that is produced by Staphylococcus aureus strains and is classified as a category B select agent.

RBM10 Deficiency Promotes Anti‐PD‐1 Resistance in LUAD via STING Alternative Splicing‐Driven CCL7 Signaling and Macrophage Polarization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RBM10 deficiency promotes anti‐PD‐1 resistance in lung adenocarcinoma by altering STING alternative splicing, which enhances CCL7 secretion and CCR2‐dependent M2 macrophage polarization. A positive feedback loop via mitochondrial transfer sustains this immunosuppression.

Trajectories of class–switching‐related egg and cow's milk allergen‐specific immunoglobulin isotype formation and its modification by eczema with low‐ and high‐affinity immunoglobulin E during early infancy

open access: yesImmunity, Inflammation and Disease, 2019
Introduction Allergen‐specific immunoglobulin isotype formation associated with immunoglobulin class‐switching during the lactation period is the immunological background for food allergy in infants.

Benzimidazole resistance survey for Haemonchus, Teladorsagia and Trichostrongylus in three European countries using pyrosequencing including the development of new assays for Trichostrongylus

open access: yesInternational Journal for Parasitology: Drugs and Drug Resistance, 2016
Resistance to benzimidazoles (BZs) in trichostrongyloid nematodes is a worldwide problem for livestock production, particularly regarding small ruminants. Sensitive and reliable methods are required to assess anthelmintic resistance status.

Radiotherapy Enhances the Oncolytic Efficacy of the Novel Oncolytic Herpesvirus VG161 and Amplifies Its Antitumor Immunity in Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RT promotes VG161 replication in BC and its immunostimulatory transgenes expression, which is mediated by the upregulation of GADD34 and HVEM caused by RT. The combination therapy with VG161 and RT increases the abundances of tumor‐infiltrating lymphocytes and elicits potent systemic antitumor immunity, thereby effectively inhibiting local tumors and ...

A Study of a-Sic/C-Si(n) Isotype Heterojunctions

open access: yesActive and Passive Electronic Components, 1993
In the present work a study of the electrical properties of heterojunctions between rf sputtered amorphous silicon carbide (a-SiC) thin films and n-type crystalline silicon (c-Si) substrates is reported. The current-voltage (I-V) and capacitance-voltage (

Isotype determination of monoclonal antibodies by immunodiffusion

open access: yes, 1990
Immunodiffusion is an important qualitative method for the detection of antigens and antibodies. The technique may be used to determine the immunoglobulin heavy and light chain class and subclass of hybridoma antibodies.

Gasdermin D‐Mediated Release of IL‐33 Results in Fetal Brain Developmental Abnormalities During Maternal Colitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Under colitis, Gsdmd mediates the release of IL‐33 from the epithelium of pregnant mice. IL‐33 can cross the placenta and enhance the proliferative capacity of neural stem cells, ultimately resulting in behavioral deficits in the offspring. Excessive pyroptosis in the colonic epithelium also triggers the translocation of LPS, which in turn increases ...

An essential role for α4A-tubulin in platelet biogenesis

open access: yesLife Science Alliance, 2019
Alpha4A-tubulin is the predominant α-tubulin isotype in platelets. Mutations in α4A-tubulin cause abnormal platelet biogenesis and marginal band formation in mice and in a patient, establishing an essential role of this tubulin isotype.
