Transformation of isoxanthohumol by fungi
Journal of Molecular Catalysis B: Enzymatic, 2009Abstract Isoxanthohumol is the most abundant and an important prenylated flavonoid present in hopped beers. In order to select microorganisms capable of transforming isoxanthohumol screening tests on 44 fungi cultures were performed. This kind of activity has not been previously examined.

Isoxanthohumol — Biologically active hop flavonoid
Fitoterapia, 2015Isoxanthohumol (IXN), apart from xanthohumol (XN) and 8-prenylnaringenin (8PN), is one of the most important prenylflavonoids found in hops. Another natural source of this compound is a shrub Sophora flavescens, used in traditional Chinese medicine. Main dietary source of IXN is beer, and the compound is produced from XN during wort boiling.

Insect Antifeedant Potential of Xanthohumol, Isoxanthohumol, and Their Derivatives
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2015Xanthohumol (14) and isoxanthohumol (6) derived from hop (Humulus lupulus L., Cannabaceae) and selected chalcone and chromene derivatives, obtained by chemical synthesis, were studied for antifeedant activity against the peach-potato aphid (Myzus persicae [Sulz.]).

PRELIMINARY DATA ON AN ANTIBODY FOR AN ISOXANTHOHUMOL ELISA
Acta Horticulturae, 2009Isoxanthohumol is a weak estrogenic prenylflavanone from hop that possesses anti-carcinogenic effects. It is also a precursor of 8-Prenylnaringenin. A carboxylic acid hapten of prenylflavanone was synthesized with a spacer arm of 2 carbons at the C4' position. The hapten was characterized by 1 H-NMR, 13 C-NMR, IR, MS (ESI+) and HR-MS (ESI+).
