Folic acid (FA) is a water‐soluble vitamin absorbed in the small intestine through the proton‐coupled folate transporter (PCFT) when taken orally. In this study, we investigated the effect of green tea on PCFT‐mediated FA transport. Green tea inhibited FA uptake by PCFT in a concentration‐dependent manner, with an IC50 value of 6.1%.

Antioxidant Potential and Characterization of Polyphenol Compounds in Moringa oleifera Pods
This study examines the influence of environmental conditions on the antioxidant potential of fresh moringa pods cultivated in two Australian states. The pods are a rich source of polyphenols with potent antioxidant properties. ABSTRACT The aim of this investigation was to comparatively assess the antioxidant and polyphenol compounds in fresh moringa ...

Hop inflorescence extract causes the release of anorexigenic hormones from intestinal secretin tumor cell line (STC‐1). This effect is due to the interaction with bitter receptors resulting in the activation of mediators involved in the signal transduction process in a mechanism dependent on intracellular calcium. Scope Inflorescences of the female hop

Phytoestrogens: Chemistry, potential health benefits, and their medicinal importance
Abstract Phytoestrogens, also known as xenoestrogens, are secondary metabolites derived from plants that have similar structures and biological effects as human estrogens. These compounds do not directly affect biological functions but can act as agonists or antagonists depending on the level of endogenous estrogen in the body.
