Synthesis of Isoxazole Triflones
European Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2012AbstractThe first practical synthesis of isoxazole triflones 3 (4‐trifluoromethanesulfonylisoxazoles, 4‐triflylisoxazoles) has been achieved by an operationally simple procedure consisting of the reaction between readily available α‐triflyl ketones 4 and imidoyl chlorides 5 in the presence of triethylamine.

Isoxazole Ionotropic Glutamate Neurotransmitters
Current Medicinal Chemistry, 2005Analogs of the excitatory neurotransmitter glutamate are potential medicinal agents for a wide variety of neurological disorders. The isoxazole glutamate derivatives represent an important class of compounds because of their receptor specificity and binding affinity. Since the discovery of (S)-2-amino-3-(3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazolyl) propionic acid (

Chromium (III) halide complexes with isoxazole and substituted isoxazoles as ligands
Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular Spectroscopy, 1976Abstract Complexes of chromium (III) with isoxazole, 3,5-dimethylisoxazole, 3-methyl, 5-phenylisoxazole and 3,5-diphenylisoxazole have been prepared and characterized by magnetic and spectroscopic techniques. lie stereochemistries of the complexes are discussed with emphasis on their i.r. spectra.

The coordination chemistry of isoxazoles
Coordination Chemistry Reviews, 1991Isoxazole-metal complexes are often postulated as intermediates in reactions of considerable synthetic utility, for example the reductive ring opening of isoxazoles. Several isoxazole-metal complexes have been reported and well characterized. However, an updated review of this chemistry is needed.

Recent Developments in Isoxazole Chemistry
1963Publisher Summary This chapter reviews new investigations in the field of synthetic isoxazoles. Isoxazoles possess the properties of the aromatic system. The syntheses of isoxazole derivatives involving formation of the 1–5 and 2–3 bonds of the isoxazole ring, as well as formation of the 1–5 and 3–4 bonds of the ring are described in the chapter. The

Fragmentation mechanisms of isoxazole
Organic Mass Spectrometry, 1981AbstractFragmentation pathways of isoxazole giving ions [C3H2ON]+, [C2H3N]+˙ and [C2H2N]+ are elucidated by means of metastable ion studies and thermodynamic properties. Rearrangement reactions are demonstrated to occur with H and HCO loss. Elimination of carbon monoxide leads to [C2H3N]+˙ ions whose reacting configuration is the same as for ...
