Critical roles of Myc-ODC axis in the cellular transformation induced by myeloproliferative neoplasm-associated JAK2 V617F mutant. [PDF]
The acquired mutation (V617F) of Janus kinase 2 (JAK2) is observed in the majority of patients with myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs). In the screening of genes whose expression was induced by JAK2 (V617F), we found the significant induction of c-Myc ...

To study the role of the JAK2-V617F mutation in leukemic transformation, we examined 27 patients with myeloproliferative disorders (MPDs) who transformed to acute myeloid leukemia (AML). At MPD diagnosis, JAK2-V617F was detectable in 17 of 27 patients.

Development and inter-laboratory validation of unlabeled probe melting curve analysis for detection of JAK2 V617F mutation in polycythemia vera. [PDF]
BACKGROUND: JAK2 V617F, a somatic point mutation that leads to constitutive JAK2 phosphorylation and kinase activation, has been incorporated into the WHO classification and diagnostic criteria of myeloid neoplasms.

IL-4 Serum Level Estimation in Myeloproliferative Neoplasm Patients
Back Ground: Myeloproliferative neoplasm (MPN) is a long-term blood disease that has an excess production of mature hematopoietic pluripotent stem cells in the bone marrow. In the early fifties, W.

ABSTRACT Background Immune surveillance is increasingly recognized as a determinant of clonal selection in Philadelphia chromosome‐negative myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN). While HLA‐restricted adaptive immune effects have been described, the contribution of inherited variation in natural killer (NK)‐cell regulatory pathways remains less well ...

ABSTRACT Pancytopenia accompanied by chimeric antigen receptor T cell (CAR‐T) therapy is termed immune effector cell‐associated hematopoietic toxicity (ICAHT), which is often sustained and refractory to supportive care. We report a case of a 52‐year‐old man with multiple myeloma who developed severe ICAHT with secondary myelofibrosis (sMF) after ...

CONTEXT AND OBJECTIVE: By using molecular markers, it is possible to gain information on both the classification and etiopathogenesis of chronic myeloproliferative neoplasias (MPN). METHODS: In a group of 27 Mexican mestizo patients with MPNs, we studied

Unlike deceased‐donor liver transplantation, living‐donor liver transplantation (LDLT) for Budd‐Chiari Syndrome (BCS) presents distinctive challenges in hepatic venous (HV)‐outflow reconstruction because diseased HV–inferior vena cava (IVC) cannot be entirely replaced with healthy donor vessels.
