Urologic Bacteriome: The Hero or the Villain in Prostate Cancer Onset, Progression, and Treatment?

open access: yesMedicinal Research Reviews, Volume 46, Issue 4, Page 1111-1151, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Prostate cancer (PCa) is the second most frequently diagnosed cancer in men worldwide and the fifth leading cause of cancer‐related mortality, presenting urgent unmet clinical needs in diagnosis and treatment. The recognition of the microbiome as a key factor in human health has prompted numerous studies, revealing an exciting new approach to ...

Occupational Burnout, Post‐Traumatic Stress Disorder and Intention to Resign Among Nursing Personnel During Public Health Emergencies

open access: yesNursing Open, Volume 13, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim Studies have shown that nursing staff are prone to post‐traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), occupational burnout and turnover tendency in public health emergencies, but the incidence of these three and their influencing factors during the outbreak of COVID‐19 have not been clarified.

Epoxy Clerodane Diterpene Attenuates the Differentiated Adipocyte Hypertrophy and Enhances Mitochondrial Metabolism

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 15, Issue 7, July 2026.
Epoxy Clerodane Diterpene (ECD) significantly reduces adipocyte hypertrophy and lipid accumulation in human mesenchymal stem cell (hMSC)‐derived adipocytes. ECD improves mitochondrial membrane potential (ΔΨm), increases thermogenic regulators (UCP‐1, PPARγC1α), decreases adipogenic markers (C/EBPα, PPARγ), and reduces inflammatory mediators (TNF‐α, NF ...

Podocyte mPGES‐2 Determines Renal Aging and Contributes to Senile Osteoporosis

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 7, July 2026.
Podocyte mPGES‐2 drives renal aging through PGE2/EP1‐dependent senescence and disrupts renal endocrine support for bone homeostasis. Genetic deletion or pharmacological inhibition of mPGES‐2 protects aged mice from kidney dysfunction and osteoporosis. ABSTRACT Renal aging shortens healthspan and propagates organ dysfunction beyond the kidney, yet its ...

A Non‐Channel Function of CFTR: Attenuating Mitochondrial Oxidative Stress and Cardiomyocyte Senescence via Stabilization by USP45

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 7, July 2026.
USP45 stabilizes CFTR through deubiquitination, thereby activating PMCA, which inhibits calcium/chloride overload and mitochondrial oxidative stress in senescent cardiomyocytes, ultimately alleviating cardiomyocyte senescence. ABSTRACT Cardiomyocyte senescence drives cardiovascular disease, underscoring the need to define its molecular mechanisms.

Rapid generation of prion disease models using AAV‐delivered PrP variants in knockout mice

open access: yesBrain Pathology, Volume 36, Issue 4, July 2026.
We developed a rapid AAV‐based system to generate prion disease models in weeks rather than months. Following systemic AAV9P31 delivery of modified PrP to knockout mice, we achieved brain‐wide expression and successful propagation of both classical (RML) and atypical (GSS‐A117V) prion strains.
