Total Synthesis of Kaempferol and Methylated Kaempferol Derivatives
Journal of the Chinese Chemical Society, 2001AbstractKaempferol (1), a natural product from various plants, was synthesized in which the longest linear sequence is only seven steps in over all yields of 47% from commercially avail able 1,3,5‐trimethoxybenzene (10). The methylated kaempferols 2–5 were also pre pared by use of this concise synthetic methodology.

Kaempferol tetraglucosides from cabbage leaves
Phytochemistry, 1998Four flavonol glycosides were isolated from a leaf extract of cabbage and characterized by chemical and spectroscopic methods including 1H and 13C NMR and negative ion FAB-MS. The common structure of the four compounds was kaempferol 3-O-beta-D-[beta-D-glucopyranosyl(1-->2)glucopyranoside]-7- O-beta-D-[beta-D-glucopyranosyl(1-->4)glucopyranoside]. This

Kaempferol triosides from Silphium perfoliatum
Phytochemistry, 2002Two apiose-containing kaempferol triosides, together with nine known flavonoids were isolated from the leaves of Silphium perfoliatum L. Their structures were elucidated by acid hydrolysis and spectroscopic methods including UV, LSI MS, FAB MS, CI MS, (1)H, (13)C and 2D-NMR, DEPT, HMQC and HMBC experiments.

Kaempferol glycosides from Siparuna apiosyce
Phytochemistry, 2000The kaempferol derivative 3,7-di-O-methyl-4'-O-beta-[alpha rhamnosyl (1 --> 6)]-glucopyranoside (siparunoside) was isolated from the leaves of Sparuna apiosyce. Its structure was established by extensive NMR studies. The alkaloids reticuline and liriodenine were also isolated from the leaves along with the kaempferol derivative tiliroside ...

Kaempferol and atherosclerosis: From mechanism to medicine
Critical Reviews in Food Science and Nutrition, 2022Natural products possess pleiotropic cardiovascular protective effects owing to their anti-oxidation, anti-inflammation and anti-thrombotic properties. Kaempferol, (3,5,7-trihydroxy-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-4H-1-benzopyran-4-one), is a kind of naturally occurring flavonoid existing in many common fruits and vegetables (e.g., onions, broccoli, strawberries ...

Kaempferol glycosides from Hosta ventricosa
Phytochemistry, 1990Leaves of Hosta ventricosa yielded eight kaempferol glycosides, of which six: the 3-(2G-glucosylrutinoside)-7-glucoside, 3-sophoroside-7-glucoside, 3-rutinoside-7-glucoside, 3-(2G-glucosylrutinoside), 3-sophoroside, 3-rutinoside were fully characterized and two: the 3-xylosylrutinoside-7-glucoside and 3-xylosylrutinoside were tentatively identified ...

Antiatherogenic Effects of Kaempferol and Rhamnocitrin
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2007Atherosclerosis is a chronic inflammatory disease of the arterial wall. Kaempferol and rhamnocitrin (kaempferol 7-O-methyl ether) are two anti-inflammatory flavonoids commonly found in plants. The aim of this study is to investigate the function of kaempferol and rhamnocitrin on prevention of atherosclerosis.
