Total Synthesis of Kaempferol and Methylated Kaempferol Derivatives

Journal of the Chinese Chemical Society, 2001
AbstractKaempferol (1), a natural product from various plants, was synthesized in which the longest linear sequence is only seven steps in over all yields of 47% from commercially avail able 1,3,5‐trimethoxybenzene (10). The methylated kaempferols 2–5 were also pre pared by use of this concise synthetic methodology.

Kaempferol tetraglucosides from cabbage leaves

Phytochemistry, 1998
Four flavonol glycosides were isolated from a leaf extract of cabbage and characterized by chemical and spectroscopic methods including 1H and 13C NMR and negative ion FAB-MS. The common structure of the four compounds was kaempferol 3-O-beta-D-[beta-D-glucopyranosyl(1-->2)glucopyranoside]-7- O-beta-D-[beta-D-glucopyranosyl(1-->4)glucopyranoside]. This

Kaempferol triosides from Silphium perfoliatum

Phytochemistry, 2002
Two apiose-containing kaempferol triosides, together with nine known flavonoids were isolated from the leaves of Silphium perfoliatum L. Their structures were elucidated by acid hydrolysis and spectroscopic methods including UV, LSI MS, FAB MS, CI MS, (1)H, (13)C and 2D-NMR, DEPT, HMQC and HMBC experiments.
