ABSTRACT This article reflects on the construction of a supportive community of Black Afro‐diasporic graduate students and their supervisors researching issues relating to race in the field of education in Australia. It draws on the concept of marronage—a term rooted in the fugitive act of becoming a maroon, where enslaved people enacted an escape in ...

The impact of alloy fluctuations on the spin dynamics of mixed‐cation MAxFA1‐xPbI3 perovskite single crystals is studied experimentally by means of polarized time‐resolved photoluminescence. The high optical orientation degree, reaching 80% for x = 0.1 and 0.8, displays a minimum of 60% for x = 0.4.

Entanglement between two charge qubits taking account the Kerr media
Background. The need to implement controlled coupling between qubits, which are the logical elements of quantum devices such as quantum computers and quantum networks, requires, along with the use of traditional methods, the development of new, more ...

ABSTRACT We introduce a family of bosonic quantum error‐correcting codes built as a rotation‐symmetric superposition of squeezed vacuum states, which promise protection against both loss and dephasing noise channels. The robustness of these “squeezed‐vacuum codes” arises from being arranged at evenly spaced angles in phase‐space, and simultaneously in ...

In our work, we have explored the phase space nonlinear coherent-Kerr-cavity nonclassicality and purity loss induced by off-resonant intensity-dependent cavity-qubit interactions under atomic spontaneous-emission dissipation effect. The generation of the

Modulational instability in nonlocal nonlinear Kerr media [PDF]
We study modulational instability (MI) of plane waves in nonlocal nonlinear Kerr media. For a focusing nonlinearity we show that, although the nonlocality tends to suppress MI, it can never remove it completely, irrespectively of the particular profile of the nonlocal response function.

Guiding and Manipulating Light Fields in Microstructured Liquid Crystals
This review summarizes recent advances in guided‐wave optics enabled by microstructured liquid crystal (LC) devices, covering their fundamental material properties, key degree of freedom for dynamic light field manipulations. The advances of linear guided‐wave optics, nonlinear‐optics with spatial optical solitons, and microlasers in LC‐based devices ...

Automating Sustainability: How Climate Action Unlocks the ESG Potential of Industrial Robotics
ABSTRACT The convergence of Industry 4.0 and global sustainability goals presents a critical paradox: while automation drives efficiency, its net impact on comprehensive environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance remains contested. This study investigates the relationship between industrial robot and country‐level ESG performance across 63
