The intrinsically disorderly story of Ki-67 [PDF]

open access: yesOpen Biology, 2021
Ki-67 is one of the most famous marker proteins used by histologists to identify proliferating cells. Indeed, over 30 000 articles referring to Ki-67 are listed on PubMed. Here, we review some of the current literature regarding the protein.

Ki-67 gene expression [PDF]

open access: yesCell Death & Differentiation, 2021
AbstractKi-67 serves as a prominent cancer marker. We describe how expression of the MKI67 gene coding for Ki-67 is controlled during the cell cycle. MKI67 mRNA and Ki-67 protein are maximally expressed in G2 phase and mitosis. Expression is dependent on two CHR elements and one CDE site in the MKI67 promoter.

Ki-67 correlations in breast cancer. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Med Life
Brain metastases from breast cancer represent a serious complication, associated with reduced survival and impaired quality of life. Increased patient survival and the limited ability of the blood-brain barrier to be crossed by systemic therapies have led to a rising incidence of these lesions.

Comparison of Ki-67 equivalent antibodies [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Pathology, 2002
To compare commercially available Ki-67 equivalent antibodies with regard to qualitative and quantitative immunohistochemical staining characteristics. The following antibodies were used: monoclonal MIB-1 (Immunotech), monoclonal MM1 (Novocastra), polyclonal NCL-Ki-67p (Novocastra), and polyclonal Rah Ki-67 (Dako).

The nucleolar protein NIFK promotes cancer progression via CK1α/β-catenin in metastasis and Ki-67-dependent cell proliferation. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Nucleolar protein interacting with the FHA domain of pKi-67 (NIFK) is a Ki-67-interacting protein. However, its precise function in cancer remains largely uninvestigated.

DIFFICULTIES OF DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS BETWEEN ATYPICAL LEIOMYOMA AND LEIOMYOSARCOMA OF THE UTERINE BODY

open access: yesКлиническая практика, 2016
Leiomyoma of the uterus is a benign hormone-dependent tumors in women. The incidence of LM among gynecological diseases is 25 to 50%, according to different authors. In reproductive-aged women its frequency is about 30%.

The time-dependent localization of Ki 67 antigen-positive cells in human skin wounds [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
A total of 77 human skin wounds with a post-infliction interval between 3 h and 7 months were investigated and the proliferation marker antigen Ki 67 was visualized in paraffin sections using a specific monoclonal antibody (MIB).

Effects of Imipramine and Lithium on the Suppression of Cell Proliferation in the Dentate Gyrus of the Hippocampus in Adrenocorticotropic Hormone-treated Rats [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We examined the influence of chronic adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) treatment on the number of Ki-67-positive cells in the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus in rats. ACTH treatment for 14 days decreased the number of such cells.

Artificial intelligence-assisted interpretation of Ki-67 expression and repeatability in breast cancer

open access: yesDiagnostic Pathology, 2022
Background Ki-67 standard reference card (SRC) and artificial intelligence (AI) software were used to evaluate breast cancer Ki-67LI. We established training and validation sets and studied the repeatability inter-observers.
