EMG‐Driven Telemetry and Inference System for Fish: Pose Reconstruction and Flow Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 8, Issue 6, June 2026.
This work introduces an electromyography (EMG)‐driven telemetry framework that reconstructs body pose and infers hydrodynamic conditions in freely swimming fish. A custom 16‐channel archival system records intramuscular EMG, enabling deep‐learning models to decode joint kinematics, classify flow regimes, and reveal channel‐efficient sensing strategies.

Distribution of carp edema virus in organs of infected juvenile common carp

open access: yesJournal of Veterinary Research, 2023
The disease caused by carp edema virus (CEV) manifests with lethargy as a primary sign; this observation in koi in Japan gained the disease the name koi sleepy disease (KSD). In the years following the discovery of the virus in Japan, KSD cases have been

Adaptive response of koi carp (Cyprinus carpio koi) to low and high temperatures in experimental conditions

open access: yesНауковий вісник Львівського національного університету ветеринарної медицини та біотехнологій імені С.З. Гжицького. Серія: Сільськогосподарські науки, 2022
Abiotic factors of the water environment are essential for the life of hydrobionts. They are determined by two main criteria – the intensity of the impact factor and the tolerance of each species.

A Fuzzy‐Logic and Machine Learning‐Based Framework for Water Quality Index Classification in Extensive and Intensive Aquaculture Systems

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 6, June 2026.
This study presents an Internet of Things (IoT)‐to‐Cloud framework for real‐time monitoring and prediction of the Water Quality Index (WQI) across both extensive and intensive aquaculture systems. By integrating Fuzzy Logic biological thresholds with ML classification, the Random Forest model achieves over 99.5% accuracy in both environments ...

Flow Physics of Routine Turns of Koi Carp(Cyprinus Carpio Koi)

open access: yesJournal of Biomechanical Science and Engineering, 2009
This paper investigates the flow physics of Koi carp's routine turns with a novel CFD method solving the body-fluid interaction problem, which consists of deforming body dynamics and unsteady fluid dynamics. Firstly, the dynamical equations of the deforming body are presented. Secondly, the coupled equations of body dynamics and fluid dynamics are

Intravenous Tolvaptan Sodium Phosphate Can Fail to Improve Fluid Overload Due to Heart Failure in Patients With Chronic Kidney Disease: A Case Report

open access: yesPharmacology Research &Perspectives, Volume 14, Issue 3, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Tolvaptan is widely used as an adjunct oral diuretic to loop and thiazide diuretics for the management of fluid overload in patients with congestive heart failure. Recently, tolvaptan sodium phosphate (TSP), a water‐soluble prodrug of tolvaptan, was developed for intravenous administration and has demonstrated efficacy and safety in clinical ...

Induction of putative tetraploid larvae and analysis of unfertilized egg storage for burbot (Lota lota)

open access: yesJournal of the World Aquaculture Society, Volume 57, Issue 3, June 2026.
Abstract Burbot (Lota lota) are a promising candidate for commercial aquaculture production. Methods for captive culture are well understood, the species is highly regarded for its muscle, roe, liver, and skin, and its resistance to many salmonid pathogens coupled with the species' affinity to trout‐like water quality conditions make burbot an ...

Kelangsungan Hidup Ikan Koi (Cyprinus carpio koi) yang Terinfeksi KHV (Koi herpesvirus)
[The Survival Of Koi Goldfish (Cyprinus carpio koi) which Infected By KHV (Koi herpesvirus) ]

open access: yesJurnal Ilmiah Perikanan dan Kelautan, 2009
Abstract The research aim to know the capability of survival life of the infected KHV koi fish that proved with PCR test. The research held from 2003 until 2008, with the methode took gill sample from the same fish every 4 months. Result of PCR showed positive KHV in each analysis during 4.5 years. According to the PCR test for KHV that conducted for 4.
