Nondestructive KPFM-assisted Quality Control in Fabrication of GaAs High-Speed Electronics
In this paper, we report on the method of nondestructive quality control that can be used in fabrication of GaAs high-speed electronics. The method relies on the surface potential mapping and enables rigid in vivo analysis of transport properties of an active electronic device incorporated into a complex integrated circuit. The study is inspired by our

Multicolor optoelectronic synapses are realized by vertically integrating solution‐processed MoS2 thin‐film and SWCNT. The electronically disconnected but interactive MoS2 enables photon‐modulated remote doping, producing a bi‐directional photoresponse.

In this study we analysed halide perovskite films deposited directly on crystalline silicon by means of two set-ups using different operating modes of the surface photovoltage (SPV) methods, i.e., the Kelvin probe force microscopy (KPFM) and the metal ...

Trapped charge driven degradation of perovskite solar cells
Perovskite solar cells have shown fast deterioration during actual operation even with encapsulation, but its mechanism has been elusive. We found the fundamental mechanism for irreversible degradation of perovskite materials in which trapped charges ...

Topological van der Waals contacts represent a new class of electrodes for 2D semiconductors, enabling precise control of the Schottky barrier height (SBH) and contact resistance (RC) through interlayer distance and orbital hybridization engineering. In Se‐based transition metal dichalcogenides, these contacts achieve an ultralow SBH of 7 meV, RC of 0.

Mechano-Triboelectric Analysis of Surface Charge Generation on Replica-Molded Elastomeric Nanodomes
Replica molding-based triboelectrification has emerged as a new and facile technique to generate nanopatterned tribocharge on elastomer surfaces. The “mechano-triboelectric charging model” has been developed to explain the mechanism of the charge ...

An efficient NiOx HTL is successfully prepared by introducing MXene as an additive without further surface modification to fabricate high‐performance FASn0.5Pb0.5I3 perovskite solar cells. The introduction of MXene contributes to improved conductivity of NiOx, better aligned at NiOx/perovskite interfaces, and enhanced quality of perovskite films ...

Contact electrification and charge decay on polyester fibres: A KPFM study
Abstract Surface contact electrification experiments have been performed on insulating polyester fibres in contact with a conductive fibre using biased atomic force microscopy tips. With positive tip bias, charge spots have been deposited in a reproducible manner.

Applying a high electric field to a doped organic semiconductor heats up the charge carrier distribution beyond the lattice temperature, enhancing conductivity. It is shown that the associated effective temperature can be used to extract the effective localization length, which is a characteristic length scale of charge transport and provides ...
