Scalable and Multifunctional PAN‐MXene Composite Fibers for Thermal Management, Photothermal Conversion, Energy Harvesting, and Sensing for Wearable Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Electrospun PAN‐MXene nanofibers and yarns integrate enhanced thermal conductivity, photothermal conversion, and triboelectric energy harvesting within a flexible architecture. Interconnected MXene networks promote efficient phonon transport, while their surface chemistry strengthens tribo‐negative behavior, enabling a high power density of 432.7 mW m ...

Kelvin probe force microscopy work function characterization of transition metal oxide crystals under ongoing reduction and oxidation

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Nanotechnology, 2019
Controlling the work function of transition metal oxides is of key importance with regard to future energy production and storage. As the majority of applications involve the use of heterostructures, the most suitable characterization technique is Kelvin

Ga‐on‐In Substitution with Zn Vacancies in Zn3In2S6 Induces Electron–Hole Asymmetry and In─O Bond Weakening for Coupled Two‐Electron Oxygen Reduction and H2O2 Stabilization

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ga‐on‐In substitution coupled with Zn vacancies in Zn3In2S6 creates a dopantdefect synergy that weakens InO bonding and induces electronhole asymmetry. The resulting spatial charge separation directs the two‐electron oxygen reduction pathway, enabling efficient artificial photosynthesis of H2O2 with a production rate of 187.8 µmol g−1 min−1 ...

Fundamental Aspects of Conduction in Charged ErMnO3 Domain Walls

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials
It is now well‐established that ferroelectric domain walls, at which there are discontinuities in polarization, are usually electrically conducting. Yet, there is a dearth of rather basic information on the physics underpinning conductivity. Here, Kelvin

Laser‐Assisted Phase Engineering of 2D MoS2 for Efficient Solution‐Processed Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Here, local laser‐assisted phase transition from solution‐processed phase‐pure 1T′ to 2H MoS2 is shown to critically depend on the irradiation atmosphere. While processing in air leads to damaged insulating regions, inert conditions yield semiconducting 2H domains, enabling direct field‐effect transistor patterning with optimized lateral 1T′‐2H MoS2 ...

Vacuum‐Evaporated, Lead‐Free RbYbI3 Perovskite Interlayers for Universal Electron Injection in High‐Performance Organic Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The optoelectronic performance of organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs) is critically governed by charge injection from electrodes into organic layers, where significant energy barriers at the interfaces often impede efficient charge injection.

Graphene‐Based Wearable Textile Triboelectric Nanogenerators and Biomechanical Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This study presents a wearable textile‐based triboelectric nanogenerator (T‐TENG) using sprayed graphene enhanced with a PVA adhesion layer. The graphene‐based electrode demonstrates high electrical conductivity and robustness to multiple bends. The fabricated T‐TENG provides stable and efficient output, with strong responsiveness to biomotion.
