Synthesis of CuInS 2 nanometric powder by reaction in molten KSCN [PDF]
CuInS2 was synthesized, with a yield of 70% by reaction in molten KSCN at 400 °C of CuCl2 and InCl3 with a ratio KSCN/Cu=15. The homogeneous powder obtained is constituted of nano-sized grains (70–100 nm), with a specific surface area of 6 m2/g and a band gap Eg of 1.5 eV.

N-Bromosulphonamides, synthesized via direct bromination of sulphonamides, react with several types of arene substrates in the presence of KSCN to afford aryl thiocyanates. The method appears to be generally applicable to benzenoid substrates with a wide

The results of a neutron diffraction experiment performed on aqueous solutions of KSCN are analyzed and discussed in comparison with similar data for KCl and KOH solutions. The effect of the different ions on the structure of water and the differences and similarities among the ion solvation shells are discussed in detail.

Raman spectroscopic study of the valinomycin-KSCN complex [PDF]
Abstract This paper reports the first Raman spectroscopic study of the potassium complex of the cation-specific antibiotic valinomycin. Complete Raman spectra (140 to 3600 cm−1) of crystalline valinomycin-KSCN and its CCl4, CHCl3 and C2H5OH solutions are presented and used to probe the structure of the complex in these environments.

Nanoconfinement-Steered Molecular Preorganization Enables Efficient Monoethanolamine Degradation through Electronically Modulated High-Valent Iron-Oxo Pathways. [PDF]
Precise modulation of reaction pathways remains an unresolved challenge in peroxymonosulfate‐activated advanced oxidation processes. The spatial preorganization strategy in engineered confinement architecture enables regioselective bond cleavage in monoethanolamine via synergistic proton–electron transfer, redirecting its degradation from nonselective ...

Properties of KSCN-rich Molten NaSCN-KSCN Mixtures
Abstract For molten (Na, K)SCN mixtures with more than 50 mol% KSCN the molar volume Vm,electrical conductivity, χ, refractive index n, surface tension γ and heat capacity CP were measured in dependence of composition and temperature, γ exhibited the minimum at ca. 70 mol% KSCN and Cp was 148 JK-1 mol-1 in the range of 413 to 471 K.
