Highly-crystallized quaternary chalcopyrite nanocrystals via a high-temperature dissolution–reprecipitation route [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Quaternary chalcopyrite (Cu2CoSnS4, Cu2ZnSnS4) nanocrystals displaying high crystallization and controlled morphology were synthesized via a high-temperature growth regime achieved by dissolution–reprecipitation of tailored ultrafine precursors in the ...

Solvent-controlled selective transformation of 2-Bromomethyl-2-methylaziridines to functionalized Aziridines and Azetidines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The reactivity of 2-bromomethyl-2-methylaziridines toward oxygen, sulfur, and carbon nucleophiles in different solvent systems was investigated. Remarkably, the choice of the solvent has a profound influence on the reaction outcome, enabling the ...

Synergistic inhibition effect of Diantipyrylmethane and Potassium thiocyanate on mild steel corrosion in 1 M HCl solution

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2019
The inhibition effect of Diantipyrylmethane (DAM) and its synergistic effect with potassium thiocyanate (KSCN) on mild steel corrosion in 1 M HCl solution were investigated by electrochemical methods, gravimetric analysis and scanning electron microscopy

Role of the thiocyanate ion in the corrosion inhibition of zinc in perchloric acid by n-decylamine [PDF]

open access: yes, 1979
The effect of KSCN on the corrosion of electropolished zinc in 0.1 M HClO4 and 0.1 M HClO4 solution containing different concentrations of n-decylamine (nDA) has been investigated using weight loss and polarization methods.

Potentiostatic transients related to the electrolytic oxidation of KSCN and mixtures of NaSCN + KSCN melts on polycrystalline platinum [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Electroanalytical Chemistry and Interfacial Electrochemistry, 1985
Potentiostatic transients related to the electrolytic oxidation of molten thiocyanate (KSCN and KSCN + NaSCN, 0.7:0.3 mol/mol) on polycrystalline Pt obtained in the 168–290°C range are interpreted in terms of a nucleation and growth mechanism under diffusion control which involves the formation of two different products constituting the passivating ...

PHOTOCHEMISTRY OF PHYCOBILIPROTEINS [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
Native PEC from the cyanobacterium, Mastigocladus laminosus, and its isolated α-subunit show photoreversibly photochromic reactions with difference-maxima around 502 and 570 nm in the spectral region of the α-84 phycoviolobilin chromophore.

Sequential Spectrophotometric determination of methanol and iron in vinegar by a flow injection-pervaporation method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
An easily automatable sequential flow-injection-pervaporation method is proposed for the photometric determination of methanol and iron in vinegar. The method is based on separation of the methanol from the sample matrix by pervaporation followed by its ...

Self-interaction chromatography as a tool for optimizing conditions for membrane protein crystallization [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The second virial coefficient, or B value, is a measurement of how well a protein interacts with itself in solution. These interactions can lead to protein crystallization or precipitation, depending on their strength, with a narrow range of B values ...

14 NNMR investigation of KSCN [PDF]

open access: yesEurophysics Letters (EPL), 1997
We have directly determined with 14N NMR the SCN head-tail flipping rate in KSCN on going through the order-disorder phase transition at Tc. The results can be explained in terms of an asymmetric double-well potential for the SCN reorientations below Tc and a symmetric double-well potential above Tc.
