Leaching of NMC industrial black mass in the presence of LFP
This study focuses on the effect of an emerging source of waste, lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode materials, on the hydrometallurgical recycling of the currently dominant industrial battery waste that is rich in transition metals (Ni, Co, Mn, and Li).

Nitric oxide (NO) has a dual effect on mitochondria. Incubating liver mitochondria with NO improves oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) efficiency by decreasing state 4 respiration more than ATP synthesis and preventing mitochondrial permeability ...

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

Quantification of locked mode instability triggered by a change in confinement
This work presents the first analysis of the disruptive locked mode (LM) triggered by the dynamics of a confinement change. It shows that, under certain conditions, the LM threshold during the transient is significantly lower than expected from steady ...

Transition metal complexes with thiosemicarbazide-based ligands. Part 51. Square-planar nickel(II) complex with acetylacetone bis(S-n-propylisothiosemicarbazone) (L). Crystal and molecular structure of [Ni(L-H)]NCS and two isomorphic complexes [Ni(L-H)]I·EtOH and [Ni(L-H)]I·iPrOH [PDF]
The template reaction of a warm methanolic solution of Ni(OAc)2·4H2O, S-n-propylisothiosemicarbazide hydroiodide and acetylacetone yielded the needle- like, brown, diamagnetic complex [Ni(L–H)]I·MeOH, and in the presence of an excess of NH 4NCS, brown ...

Monitoring circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in patients with operable breast cancer can reveal disease relapse earlier than radiology in a subset of patients. The failure to detect ctDNA in some patients with recurrent disease suggests that ctDNA could serve as a supplement to other monitoring approaches.

The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.
