The Value of Semantic Parse Labeling for Knowledge Base Question Answering

open access: yesAnnual Meeting of the Association for Computational Linguistics, 2016
We demonstrate the value of collecting semantic parse labels for knowledge base question answering. In particular, (1) unlike previous studies on small-scale datasets, we show that learning from labeled semantic parses significantly improves overall ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Biocompatible sulfonium-based covalent probes for endogenous tubulin fluorescence nanoscopy in live and fixed cells

open access: yesNature Communications
Fluorescent probes enable precise visualization of dynamic cellular processes, especially when combined with super-resolution imaging techniques that overcome the diffraction limit.

Site-Specific Labeling of Protein Kinase CK2: Combining Surface Display and Click Chemistry for Drug Discovery Applications

open access: yesPharmaceuticals, 2016
Human CK2 is a heterotetrameric constitutively active serine/threonine protein kinase and is an emerging target in current anti-cancer drug discovery. The kinase is composed of two catalytic CK2α subunits and two regulatory CK2β subunits.

Between Condemnation and Restoration. The Idea and Practices of Restorative Justice in the Context of the Rehabilitation of Offenders

open access: yesJournal of Modern Science, 2022
Objectives The aim of this paper is to outline the specifics and meaning of the idea of restorative justice in the context of dealing with offenders, as well as the approach to crime, including its genesis, forms, and methods. Another important aspect is

On Online Labeling with Polynomially Many Labels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In the online labeling problem with parameters n and m we are presented with a sequence of n keys from a totally ordered universe U and must assign each arriving key a label from the label set {1,2,...,m} so that the order of labels (strictly) respects the ordering on U.

Evolution of graphene growth on Ni and Cu by carbon isotope labeling. [PDF]

open access: yesNano letters (Print), 2009
Large-area graphene growth is required for the development and production of electronic devices. Recently, chemical vapor deposition (CVD) of hydrocarbons has shown some promise in growing large-area graphene or few-layer graphene films on metal ...

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Legal aspects of development of organic agriculture in Ukraine in the context of European integration [PDF]

open access: yesEkonomika Poljoprivrede (1979), 2020
In modern economic conditions, organic production is gaining global significance, partly addressing food security and contributing to the well-being of the population. Ukraine is in the top-20 of world leaders in the organic movement. In this regard, the

An improved smaller biotin ligase for BioID proximity labeling

open access: yesMolecular Biology of the Cell, 2016
A smaller promiscuous biotin ligase for proximity biotinylation called BioID2 enables more-selective targeting of fusion proteins, requires less biotin supplementation, exhibits enhanced labeling of proximate proteins, and demonstrates the use of a ...
