Fusogenic RNA Nanomodules for Fusion‐Mediated and Multiplexed siRNA Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A fusogenic lipid‐layered RNA nanomodules (L‐CRAMs) enable high‐capacity and long‐lasting siRNA delivery through membrane fusion. These nanomodules carry exceptionally large siRNA payloads, avoid conventional endosomal uptake, and release multiple functional siRNAs through Dicer‐mediated processing.

Off-Ramp Vehicle Mandatory Lane-Changing Duration in Small Spacing Section of Tunnel-Interchange Section Based on Survival Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Transportation, 2022
Due to topography, geology, and other factors, small spacing sections are common between tunnels and interchange exits. There is mandatory lane-changing behavior for vehicles that need to leave the main line and drive inside the road before leaving the ...

A Thermodynamic Model of Antiferroelectics and Its Application to Electric Field Induced Antiferroelectric‐Ferroelectric Transition in PbZrO3

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A thermodynamic model that incorporates ferroelectric, antiferroelectric, and antiferrodistortive orders of PbZrO3${\rm PbZrO}_3$ is established and parameterized based on experimental measurements and first‐principles calculations. We derive a Clapeyron‐like equation for describing the temperature‐dependence of critical electric fields for the ...

Determinants Behind the Taste Variation in Discretionary Lane Changing Behavior of Drivers Facing Downstream Queues

open access: yesTransactions on Transport Sciences
Lane-changing behavior can significantly affect many aspects of traffic flow including capacity, shock waves, and safety. Therefore, it is imperative to understand the determinants behind lane change behavior.

Empirics and Models of Fragmented Lane Changes

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Intelligent Transportation Systems, 2020
Existing microscopic traffic models represent the lane-changing maneuver as a continuous and uninterrupted lateral movement of the vehicle from its original to the target lane. We term this representation as Continuous Lane-Changing (CLC).

Light‐Induced Field‐Tunneling Synapses in Solution‐Processed Van Der Waals Heterostructures for Scalable, Retina‐Inspired Optical Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A scalable, solution‐processed WSe2/ZrO2‐x van der Waals heterostructure realizes a light‐induced field‐tunneling synapse (LIFTS) that activates exclusively under bright illumination, emulating the photopic adaptation of the human retina at the device level.

A 3D Human Neuron‐on‐Chip Platform to Monitor Neuronal Injury Responses

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a novel 3D Neuron‐on‐Chip model that can maintain human PSC‐derived excitatory prefrontal cortex neurons in 3D hydrogels and can be used to monitor neuronal injury responses over time. Results show injury‐induced acute neuronal excitotoxicity, declining neuronal connectivity, and the activation of a neurodegenerative, SASP‐like ...

Dual Role of Tamoxifen in Enhancing STING and CEACAM1 Expression to Prime a Favorable Tumor Microenvironment for Anti‐TIM3 Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Anti‐PD‐1/PD‐L1 blockade has revolutionized cancer immunotherapy, but is ineffective against endocrine‐treated (i.e., Tamoxifen), relapsed ER+ breast cancer (BC) patients. This study provides insight into the sub‐optimal response of ER+BCs to anti‐PD‐1/PD‐L1 blockade – highlighting the induction of STING and the CEACAM1/TIM3 axis after chronic ...

Modulation of miR‐23b Wnt/β‐catenin Axis Strengthens Endothelial Barrier Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Early blood‐brain barrier (BBB) disruption contributes to stroke and CNS disease pathology. miR‐23b was identified as a regulator of BBB integrity in brain endothelial cells. Inhibition of miR‐23b enhanced barrier‐associated properties, promoted repair‐related signaling, and reduced BBB leakage in experimental stroke models, supporting further ...

A Car-Following Model Considering Preceding Vehicle’s Lane-Changing Process

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Car following and lane changing are two common driving behaviors in the traffic flow. Preceding vehicle's lane changing is affected by the surroundings and will have a greater influence on the followers' driving decision.
