Modeling the Pedestrian Ability of Detecting Lanes and Lane Changing Behavior

open access: yesModern Applied Science, 2016
Incorporating decision-making capability as an intelligence aspect into crowd dynamics models is crucial factor for reproducing realistic pedestrian flow. Crowd dynamics models are still suffering from poor representation of essential behaviors such as lane changing behavior.

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

Lane-changing risk analysis of passenger cars on highways based on the HighD dataset

open access: yesShenzhen Daxue xuebao. Ligong ban
To investigate the microscopic lane-changing behavior characteristics and associated risk for passenger cars on highways, we extracted lane-changing trajectories of the subject vehicle and driving data of surrounding vehicles from the HighD dataset.

A Novel Dynamic Lane-Changing Trajectory Planning Model for Automated Vehicles Based on Reinforcement Learning

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Transportation, 2022
Lane changing behavior has a significant impact on traffic efficiency and may lead to traffic delays or even accidents. It is important to plan a safe and efficient lane-changing trajectory that coordinates with the surrounding environment.

Driver Digital Twin for Online Prediction of Personalized Lane-Change Behavior

open access: yesIEEE Internet of Things Journal, 2023
Connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) are supposed to share the road with human-driven vehicles (HDVs) in a foreseeable future. Therefore, considering the mixed traffic environment is more pragmatic, as the well-planned operation of CAVs may be interrupted by HDVs.

Identifying transcription factors controlling the basal expression of human MRP4 highlights a substantial role for Sp1

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.

Safe and efficient DRL driving policies using fuzzy logic for urban lane changing scenarios

open access: yesJournal of Intelligent and Connected Vehicles
Lane changing is common in driving. Thus, the possibility of traffic accidents occurring during lane changes is high given the complexity of this process. One of the primary objectives of intelligent driving is to increase a vehicle’s behavior, making it

Research on Mandatory Lane-Changing Behavior in Highway Weaving Sections

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Transportation, 2020
As the accident-prone sections and bottlenecks, highway weaving sections will become more complicated when it comes to the mixed-traffic environments with connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) and human-driven vehicles (HVs).

Acute caffeine treatment protects the developing retina from ischemia‐induced cell death

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Caffeine reduces cell death in the developing retina under ischemia (OGD). This effect does not involve BDNF upregulation or antioxidant pathways (NRF2/VEGF). Neuroprotection occurs mainly through adenosine A2A receptor antagonism, decreasing glutamate release and excitotoxicity, highlighting caffeine's potential as an acute neuroprotective agent in ...
