Lanthanide-Containing 22-Tungsto-2-germanates [Ln(GeW11O39)2]13–: Synthesis, Structure, and Magnetic Properties

open access: yes, 2020
We report on the synthesis and structural characterization of two series of lanthanide-containing 22-tungsto-2-germanates. The first series corresponds to a family of polyanions with the formula [Ln(β2-GeW11O39)2]13– (LnIII = La (1), Ce (2), Pr (3), Nd (

Light‐Switched Mesenchymal Stem Cells for In Situ Exosome Amplification in Craniofacial Bone Defect Reconstruction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Light‐switchable MSCs (MSC‐UCNPs) were constructed by intracellular incorporation of UCNPs. Upon 980 nm irradiation, UCNPs emitted localized ultraviolet light (365 nm), activating the ROS/HEXB/LAMP1 signaling pathway to suppress lysosome–multivesicular body fusion and thereby enhance exosome biogenesis. Embedded within an injectable hydrogel, MSC‐UCNPs

One-Pot Solvothermal Synthesis of Highly Emissive, Sodium-Codoped, LaF3 and BaLaF5 Core-Shell Upconverting Nanocrystals

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2014
We report a one-pot solvothermal synthesis of sub-10 nm, dominant ultraviolet (UV) emissive upconverting nanocrystals (UCNCs), based on sodium-codoped LaF3 and BaLaF5 (0.5%Tm; 20%Yb) and their corresponding core@shell derivatives.

Temperature‐Driven Emission Redistribution of Yb2+ in SrB4O7 Enables Highly Sensitive Optical Thermometry Supported by Multiple Linear Regression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel optical thermometer exploits the rare UV emission of Yb2+ ions in a SrB4O7 host, enabling highly sensitive, non‐contact temperature measurements from 80 to 420 K. The applied multiple linear regression (MLR) analysis results in a multiple increase in the resulting temperature sensitivity.

Crystal structures of two mononuclear complexes of terbium(III) nitrate with the tripodal alcohol 1,1,1-tris(hydroxymethyl)propane

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E: Crystallographic Communications, 2017
Two new mononuclear cationic complexes in which the TbIII ion is bis-chelated by the tripodal alcohol 1,1,1-tris(hydroxymethyl)propane (H3LEt, C6H14O3) were prepared from Tb(NO3)3·5H2O and had their crystal and molecular structures solved by single ...

A series of lanthanide glutarates: lanthanide contraction effect on crystal frameworks of lanthanide glutarates

open access: yesRSC Advances, 2017
Although some 3-D lanthanide glutarates have been reported, they exhibit a very robust structural type, whose structure is not changed by different Ln3+ions, but compound3shows a new structural type.
